Boukari takes up a small strip of coastline in southern Corfu, just under an hour’s drive from historic Corfu Town. There’s a laidback way of life here – most of the action goes on by the seafront, which is home to no more than a little harbour and a handful of tavernas. Between them lie a few pocket-sized patches of pebbly beach. The water’s what gives this place a lot of its good looks, though – it’s calm, shallow and glass-clear. And the whole coastline’s hugged by dense olive groves, so there’s plenty of natural shade.
