With 5 outdoor pools, 5 restaurants and 2 private coves, the numbers really add up at this whitewashed hotel.
At this bumper hotel, whitewashed buildings step down through bougainvillea-filled gardens towards 2 private coves. On the way, there’s a selection box of swimming pools.
This place doesn’t stint on anything. For a start, it’s got 5 restaurants. Then there’s the huge checklist of bars. And activity-wise, the hotel lays on everything from archery to canoeing.

Stayed last week in a sea view apartment clean but showing its age a bit. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant . The food was very good in the main restaurants but we couldn't get into the a la carte restaurants as they were booked so can't pass a view on them (even though there were empty tables in them when we passed). Unable to get a sunbed at the Poseidon pool one day as the towels on sunbed rule was being completely ignored, just as well take the signs down if the the rule is not going to be enforced! Hired a car from Traffic hire desk at the hotel which was a good deal and nice car which allowed us to explore the wonderful island. Heavy seas the last few days which was amazing even if we had to help another hotel guests out of the water who had gone in when the red flags were flying . We struggled a bit with the lack of entertainment for our age group but overall a very enjoyable holiday. The building work is taking place and has now spread to both side of the hotel as the relax pool became a good place to watch the 32 tonne tracked excavator loading up 8 wheeler lorries continuously, even on Saturday and Sunday. but they did stop about 1700. We loved Crete hope to get back one dayMore
Peter John L,
Top quality all inclusive hotel in stunning setting. All amenities were accessible and the setting provided endless choices of places to sit and stare at the mesmerizing Mediterranean. Having three a la carte meals in a seven day stay was amazing, with the asian meal being really exceptional. The Greek wines offered were surprisingly good and you had a choice, which is not always the case with all inclusive. The buffet restaurants ( there were two but we only used the main one) offered better than the standard holiday fare and the bars served very nice coffee. The room was quite small but had very good storage for our clothes and a large balcony with a lovely sea view. The hotel was clean and the staff generally friendly and helpful, although the people in the shop were very pushy and didn't let you browse. All in all, an excellent place to stay in Crete.More
I stayed here in June this year and we stayed with 4 adults and 2 children, we had two rooms and couldn’t fault them atall. The settings were stunning and there was enough to keep the children entertained, food was nice too! Will defiantly return More
Lovely hotel with great facilities, lots to do on land and sea! Food amazing and lots of choice any day or night for all tastes. A la carte not so good, of which there are four, Greek, Italian, Asian and Seafood. You’re able to eat in one per week for free if you’re all inclusive, we tried the Asian and Italian, service in each was poor as was the food and choice. There was an Asian themed night in the main restaurant when the choice and quality of food was much better. The only other complaint was the sun-beds. We arrived late Sunday night, the following morning we were able to get sun-beds around the main pool, but each morning after we were not so lucky. There are signs stating that it is not allowed to reserve sun-beds, but there is no consequence so the signs are ignored with guests going down to reserve as early as 5am. We went to the beach one morning at 9.30, the sun-beds next to us were already reserved, but the family did not actually arrive to occupy them until 3.30pm in the afternoon. A complaint to the management had no effect, they do not want to upset their guests and it appeared that the signs were only put up to placate those who do complain. Their answer is to purchase further sun-beds each season, but this does not solve the problem, just gives guests more beds to reserve. All in all it was a great holiday, the staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable. Entertainment was good apart from the children’s evening entertainment. There was only a mini disco for ages 3-13, but it mainly consisted of the animation team leading the dances such as okey cokey, Superman, etc., the usual holiday tunes. Our daughter is 9 and longed for some current chart music to do her own thing to, but we were told that they don’t do that. There were definitely no 13 year olds there, the oldest being approximately 7 or 8. Crete is a lovely island with some stunning scenery, the Land Rover Safari is a must, especially if you have Simon as the driver, a fountain of knowledge with a brilliant sense of humour, didn’t want the day to end. We would definitely return to Crete and Nana Beach! More
After spending a very stressful 11 days at this hotel I thought it was only fare to let anyone with mobility issues be aware this is NOT a mobility friendly hotel at all even though 3days before a call was made to them direct as I saw the reviews on trip advisor warning customers of the challenges for less mobile people and the hotel insisted the beach would be the only place we wouldn't be able access. My husband is in a wheelchair and wherever we needed to access it was a challenge as there were either lots of steps or very steep ramps. To even access the main building to eat was a challenge as although it had a ramp its surface was plastic so the wheelchair slid and was extremely dangerous especially going down. It was something I needed help with every time we needed to access for all our meal times throughout the day. I constantly had to have the help from the concierge which was awfully awkward and uncomfortable for me to constantly be asking reception for help and very embarrassing for my husband as people naturally found it a topic of conversation. I hope this review has helped as I would not like to think of other customers having there holiday ruined and left feeling like prisoners in the hotel as my husband and I did. Because of my husband's health issues this was our last holiday abroad and I'm left feeling extremely sad I have this as my lasting memory of what is a beautiful island to which we have enjoyed for over 17 years.
