Holidays to Ipsos offer an ideal snapshot of Corfu, with scenic views, bustling beaches and a growing party scene.
The first thing you’ll notice about Ipsos is its Blue-Flag beach. This pretty pebbly number stretches all the way from Ipsos to Pygri to make “The Golden Mile”. And it’s not only sunseekers that flock to these shores. Alongside the scenic waterfront, you can expect to see plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs, as well.
The area around Ipsos is filled with winding hills, mountains and woods, where you’ll find quiet villages tucked away. You can walk around narrow cobbled streets and browse traditional market shops selling handmade souvenirs. Heading in land also offers up some peace and quiet, and panoramic views of the landscape.
Ipsos is a 30-minute drive from Corfu’s main city, Corfu Town. Here, cobblestone streets and brightly coloured Venetian-style buildings sit next to a 15th-century fortress. The old town’s a World Heritage Site, and daytrips here to see the cathedral, museums and markets are part-and-parcel of a holiday to Ipsos.
