    Thanks to its headland location, this place has a trio of beaches on its doorstep. A 10-minutes walk gets you to three different pebbly stretches, plus a stylish beach club with cushioned loungers and a sea-view bar terrace.

    You can spend lazy days beside the pool, which comes with a swim-up bar. Inside, the hotel features modern touches, like spotlit ceilings and cartoon-style murals of Dubrovnik.

    Me and my mum staid here for one week, and it was much bettern than expected after reading the rewies in Tripadvisor. The room were clean, and the aricondition was amazing comparid to other hotels i have staid in the last trips i have had. We got a room with a garden view so there were no noice of any kind from the outside. A little bit noice from the hallway, but it was okey. Big bathroom with good lights, and a tub. The people who worked there were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was ok. We had dinner at the hotel the first night, but that was not for my taste. The pool area was very nice! They clean the area every morning so it looks very nice and the pool was big, and never to crowded. We walked to the beach every day, and its about 5-7minutes walk to the Valamar President Beach. Its the most beautiful beach i have ever been on! The reataurantes in the area are also very good. And it is also a short 20-25minute walk from the hotel to Lapad where you can find more restaurants. The bus (nr 6) to the old town goes from the bus place right by the hotel. We paid 15kuna for the bus one way and it stops rigth outside the old town gate.

    I have travelled the world and gone on my holidays but this has to be one of the worst hotels I stayed in.I can speak Croatian.I was glad we were staying here just two nights before we were flying home.Air con is non existent which should be the first thing to be working when its 37 degrees every day.I was told air con was same in all rooms as we asked to move rooms.It was so uncomfortable in our room.There are not enough sun loungers around the pool for the amount of people.There is no private hotel beach,we went to copacabana beach where there is nice restaurant and bar but we were paying 260 kuna for 2 sun loungers around £32 every day. The hotel is a 10min bus ride from centre of dubrovnik,buses are really good arpund 56 kuna for a return for 2 people.Buses run till 2am, you can buy tickets in the shop near hotel reception.I would recomend Dubravka 1836 restaurant in centre.

    I called reception and apparently there is not one iron and ironing board in the hotel. If you would like to iron your shirt make sure to book a paid appointment before 2pm... poor service. When I asked if there was any other options I was told they were unable to assist.

    Spent 3 nights here. Rooms are looking tired & jaded, in need of updating. Lots of trees around the hotel so it felt a bit hemmed in. Having stayed at the Valamar Club Dubrovnik Hotel, there is no comparison with them both being 3* - the latter hotel is far superior. Food at Tirena was good. Perfect location for bus into the Old Town. I would rate the Hotel Tirena in between average and good.

    Had a very nice stay , room very large, but no balcony , that comes at an extra charge. Very large bar area and huge terrace . The swimming pool is large and not to crowded ( last week june) has a barin the pool and is open 11am till 11 pm, plenty of sunchairs and umbrellas they even have large towels available . Food , a good selecrion catering for a large variety of people, you won't be going hungry
