    ABOUT THE HOTEL

    • Official Rating
    • Free Wi-Fi

The Lero Hotel is a big hit with TripAdvisor reviewers, who love the up-to-the-minute interiors and scenic strolls into Dubrovnik.

The hotel has secured a spot on the edge of Dubrovnik. It's an easy 15-minute stroll to the laid-back bars and clubs in the old town, or you can catch a bus from outside. What's more, it's just five minutes' walk from a pebble beach area.

Bedrooms here work a contemporary look, with abstract murals, flatscreen TVs and all-white bathroom suites. Outside, the pool is just as good-looking – it’s styled up with potted plants and cream-cushioned loungers.

    Week Break

We came to Dubrovnik in July for 1 week and stayed at Hotel Lero, we were hesitant to stay due to the amount of bad reviews on here but booked after reading some great reviews as well. From arriving at the Hotel start to finish to leaving we loved every minute, the room was stylish, comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast had huge varieties including bottomless Champagne (Bonus) Dinner was fantastic again with a great selection, no faults! The staff especially the waiters were very helpful, didn't pester us to remove our plates unless we wanted them to, They stopped at nothing to ensure we had a nice evening. The hotel is around a 25 minute walk from the centre with stunning views and architecture along the way, there is a bus stop out side of the hotel if you do not feel like walking. The hotel over all made our stay just that little bit more special. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to friends. Well done to all the team at Hotel Lero. There are plenty of restaurants our favourite was Moby dick, we had the fish platter and it all was cooked perfectly. If you plan on doing any excursions, the Elaphiti Islands tour is a must on the Karaka boat as it is really worth the money as well as going to see the forbidden island by boat taxi. I could go on forever talking about how amazing we found The hotel and Dubrovnik but Visiting Dubrovnik was the best thing we have ever done, we fell in love with the place, the people, the hotel and everything else. It's a must!

Just got back from a 4 night break to Dubrovnik. Hotel Lero is situated around a 25minute walk from the Old Town. Down a hill!! Not for the people who don’t like walking . There is a bus you can catch though. Bedrooms were well appointed, although ours on the front number 112, you did hear traffic noise at night, and also from the connecting room number 111. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and there was a lot of choice. Did not use the Piano Bar or Pool, but the decor seemed really up to date. Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends who wanted to visit the city.
    Good, but needs minor improvements

Just returned from a 4 night stay here. Firstly Dubrovnik is an absolutely beautiful city, we’re so glad we chose it for our city break! Hotel Lero is well situated - about a 15 min walk from the old town. This was fine (bus available as an alternative) a bit tedious but good for walking off our food! Hotel Lero has been decorated to a high standard and the communal areas have a luxurious feel. We couldn’t use the pool as it doesn’t seem to get any sun during the day due to it being in the middle of the buildings. We chose a superior room, but wish we’d gone for one with a balcony. Our room backed onto a wall and was quite dark and depressing so we couldn’t enjoy spending time in it. Cleanliness was an issue - our bath was black and dirty - I took a tissue to it and the dirt/mould came off so this is just sloppy housekeeping. They also left a dirty cleaning toothbrush on our sink and forgot to restock our coffee/tea and clear away our dirty cups on 2 of the 3 days. We only got complimentary water on one day, which seemed a bit tight! Staff were friendly enough but they barely said 2 words to us on checkout and didn’t ask how our stay was - quite odd! Overall - I would recommend the hotel for a city break, but hope they can make some improvements!
Solid, Comfortable Hotel on all Points

I am finishing 3 nights in the Hotel Lero and, for the reasons implied in the title, would return. Read on for details. Located on the road that tracks the coastline, the Hotel Lero is undistinguished from the outside. The interior, however, is updated as are the rooms (though with clear cost-cutting measures like the pre-fab bath/shower combo). The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortably soft. The desk area is highly usable. There are plenty of electric sockets. There the necessary tools/ingredients to make coffee and tea. The breakfast buffet was extensive, high quality with fresh fruits, cereals, hot stuff and pastries. I looked forward to it. The nights were quiet. So: comfortable, clean, quiet, effective...that's why I'd come back.
Perfect for what we were looking for

Took a while to decide whether to give hotel 3 or 4 stars.. went with 4 because it did have essentially everything. Location: perfect in terms of wanting to go to old/new town. Visited middle of October so I suppose the small paths were not packed walking to the old town. I couldn't imagine the walk in peak season. It was about 15 minutes and the walk was a little tougher coming back but not hard if you are even basic fitness levels. Dubrovnik city is beautiful in both day and night. Eat before you go there because a complete rip off for food, slice of pizza 8.50euro. Main road walks down to new town but it is beautiful. Such a difference but the beach is amazing and definitely reccomend going to the Cave bar to chill and look at views along with sunset. If you don't mind a little walk perfect location Hotel: it's a nice hotel, clean and spotless I think everywhere. Main ladies toilets did smell terrible every day,be fine if it was just one day. Our room over looked the sea which was AMAZING.. absolutely made the most of this. Pool is absolutely useless, honestly no point of it being there. No sun what so ever gets there and pool is freezing at all times of the day. This was a huge negative for the hotel for me. I don't like swimming at the beach so did not get to swim at all. I asked the reception at any time does the sun shine there to which I was told 9 to 4..clearly not the case as the sun does not shine on the pool at any stage of the day. Genius who ever build the hotel completely around the pool. The restaurant was nice and food also was grand, nothing special, lacked flavour and sauces were bland. Deserts were terrible. They were basically all different mouse cream textured desserts with a different flavour on each and a different biscuit or cereal topping it off. Wine was also shocking, glass of house wine tastes like whiskey..literally!! Bar area was nice and modern and outside area nice also. Staff: reception were nice, they at least tried to half smile or acknowledge you. Nothing friendly or welcoming about any of the staff. No hello when passing or any form.of conversation. Bar staff would not even say hello when taking the order, did not use any words. Drop drinks, bill and go. I don't know if it's an English barrier or there just sick of tourists but big turn off for me. A little effort or conversation goes a long way. A simple hello would suffice. Bedroom: bedrooms are nice. Very small so glad I'm not claustrophobic. Beds were very comfortable and bedding and pillows lovely also. Bathroom was also nice but hated the glass sliding doors. There terrible.. no privacy really as you can see in the side of the doors. Bathroom was clean and plenty of towels etc. Room itself had all basics..telly, kettle, desk area.there is a mini bar also in the room. Now it may be a Irish thing but I dont think I've ever stayed in a hotel with a mini bar and did not want it there because obviously all over priced for what your getting. Asked for it to be emptied and this was not a problem. Fridge then was also brilliant for minerals and small things for sandwiches. On last two days of the stay they had maintenance on in a floor below us. Hammering literally starting from 7am. This was a huge annoyance. Called reception after a hour of it on our last day and nothing was done and it certainly didn't stop. Bit of a pain as was in for a long day travelling and started it off on a bad sleep. Did dampen the mood leaving so it's a good thing I left review till today after a good sleep. Over all enjoyed it but Wouldn't stay again but it was good for the first visit to dubrovnik.
