Achensee holidays

Holidays to Achensee, the Tyrol's largest lake, have been popular for centuries thanks to its aquamarine waters and beautiful nature park.

Adventures in Achensee

There’s a daily steamboat that'll take you up to the cold mountain streams on the north shore of the lake, or you can head to the meadows and cable car of Maurach in the south. If you’d rather get about on two feet, there are 450km of trails here Karwendel Naturpark. Jump on a lift to access mountaintop walks or explore the flatter trails threading through valleys between the peaks. The gentle lakeside path is ideal for strolling or cycling too.

Lakes and mountains

All of our hotels are in Pertisau, which is on the lake’s western coast, set between the lake and the mountains. The village is small and pretty, with traditional Alpine buildings that blend perfectly into the scenery. There’s loads of open space in the village so, wherever you are and whichever direction you’re facing, you’ll always have a great view.

Head to the beach

Take a trip to Maurach, on the southern shore of the lake. It's a large, pretty village with easy access to the cog railway and popular bathing beach - an excellent choice for a family day out.

There won’t be a rep based in your resort, but a rep will meet you at the airport when you arrive and get you on your way. If you’ve got any questions during your holiday, you can call our 24/7 TUI Service Centre at any time.
