    The exclusive Hollweger is a luxury hotel offering high standards of comfort and service, with a touch of class.

    This is a family-run hotel with a friendly team and the sole purpose of making sure you have a wonderful holiday. You certainly won’t be bored here – whether you’re looking to relax in the sun on the large terrace or in the wellness centre.

    This hotel is set amongst the large open grounds, with beautiful gardens and places to relax in the sunshine. Set on the outskirts of town, it’s a gentle stroll to the centre and to the lake - only a few hundred metres away - where you'll find the Hollweger's private lakefront bathing jetty. The hotel is also perfectly located for enjoying the numerous walking trails.

    It's worth noting that there are two lifts – one in the main building and one in the Gutshof building.

    Please note that safety standards around balconies, railings and public walkways are different in Austria and may be lower or have ornamental features that you wouldn’t see in the UK or Ireland.

    We have just returned from a weeks stay and cannot compliment the hotel enough. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and the staff were very attentive. We had a junior suite with balcony which I can highly recommend. The pool was always clean and had plenty of sun beds and was very much appreciated in the heat. The room was kept clean and tidy (although a fridge would have been a great help) and the staff were so helpful and friendly. You must go and find the lakeside house, it was so tranquil and swimming in the lake was heavenly. The food was first class and there was plenty of it. We had a fabulous time and will definitely come back to this beautiful family run hotel

    We booked a last minute week long stay in this hotel, in a room with a lake view. First impressions were good, as we were late in arriving, and the reception staff told us that if we made it down to the dining terrace within five minutes, leaving the reception formalities till later, we would be in time for the evening barbecue. The hotel is run by the Hollweger family, who pay close attention to detail, and ensure that a high standard is maintained. Our lake view room was on the top floor, with breathtaking views of the Wolfgangsee and surrounding mountains. It was unrefurbished, compared with some of the rooms in the hotel photographs, but spacious and very comfortable. The main downside was that the local weather was extremely hot, and there was no air conditioning. A fan in the room would have been a bit of a help. The food was very good, with buffet breakfast and a mix of buffet and fixed menu at dinner for those of us on half-board tariff. Main course was a choice of one meat dish, one fish dish, and one veggie dish. The pool is in a separate building, modern and spacious, with good views, and there is a small private lakeside boathouse and jetties 15 minutes walk away where one can swim in the lake (water temp 24 degrees when we were there). To summarise, a very pleasant stay and I hope to return some day. A special mention to Tomo, the bartender and waiter, whose cocktail making skills are excellent.

    Stayed here in July. We loved the incomparable views over the lake from the terrace, where we ate breakfast. Comfortable and cosy room. Very nice breakfast buffet. And thank you to the staff, especially Stella, Maria and Godanza, who helped make our stay such a pleasant one.

    A very clean hotel with a very friendly and welcoming team of staff. Excellent food very well presented. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that its about a 15 minute walk to the private lakeside area. The lakeside area is really nice if a little small and the pool is excellent. Aircon would be beneficial but perhaps it was unusually hot during the time of our visit.

    We have been visiting the Hollweger over the last 8 years,and there are too many words to describe what a wonderful place it is.For the first time this year I was there on a solo trip at the start of April,usually I'm there in summer with my family.The family Hollweger and staff are incredibly warm and hospitable from the moment you arrive until departure.Everything about this hotel is first class from the facilities of the pool and spa features to the wonderful food.I would always recommend half board.It's an easy walk to the village,which is a journey we have done many times with wheelchairs,as is travelling to Salzburg on the bus,which of course stops at the hotel.The hotel is also across from the tourist information centre,although all the information you need is in the hotel for any kind of trip You require. My taxi is always booked by the hotel,and even though I always arrive later in the evening,due to 2 flights from Scotland,Mrs Hollweger is always there to welcome you on arrival..Austria at it's best. If you can,always book a room with a Lake view,you'll never be disappointed. I was there in April this year,recovering from Major surgery.I'm a swimmer,so going down at 8am with robe on from the room,plus your Hollweger swimming bag neatly filled with 2 swim towels..(being a swimmer you really appreciate this)then a lovely breakfast,the little bus,perhaps Salzburg for the day,or a further journey from there,back to Hollweger,view from your balcony,swim,evening dinner and relax..Yes,this really is a piece of heaven..
