I have just returned from a lovely 5 night stay in Mayrhofen, for a late summer walking holiday with my wife. we chose to stay in the Elizabeth Hotel due to its great reviews here and the look of its facilities and rooms on its website. we weren't disappointed. from a great welcome at reception, through to the lovely dining staff and excellent facilities I can't fault the Hotel in any way. The room we stayed in was superb (Premium Apart) spacious, modern, clean with a great bathroom area. Food was a gastronomic feast each night, so we felt like we were at a masterchef restaurant ! All in all, a great place to stay and I will definitely return ... we have been staying at quality hotels in the Alps across all countries for 30 years and I can honestly say this is the best Hotel in the Alps we have ever stayed in. The only minor issue was that the pillows were too soft for me, but they do have a pillow "menu" for you to choose another type at extra cost ... which I should have explored ... so my fault really for not bothering. Thank you Hotel Elizabeth !

A beautiful hotel with exceptional leisure facilities. The food was fantastic with an excellent choice and something for everyone. Our room was on the 1st floor which was accessed via stairs or lift. Our room was very authentic, clean and everything was of a very high standard. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is ideally situated near the centre, within a short walk. Within easy access to both gondola’s. Certainly wouldn’t hesitate to go back again - in fact hoping to next year!

This hotel is beautiful and we had a fabulous time. The hotel manages to seamlessly mix the authentic Tyrolean style with high end luxury. We stayed in a Prestige Loft Suite which was gorgeous and gigantic. It had a big walk-in wardrobe with plenty of hangers, panoramic windows with lovely views, lots of outside space and a beautiful free-standing bath that I would have taken home if I could have fitted it in my suitcase!! The food was really good and the afternoon tea, which we had most days, was a nice bonus. Dinner was five courses (plus there was an amazing cheese board) but the portions meant that this was filling but not over facing. You had to pick your choices at breakfast but this was fine with us. There are recommended wines each day but there is also a wine list - they don't offer it, you have to ask to see it.. There is no wine by the glass on the wine list but this is available if you ask, although on occasion we weren't really sure what we were ordering or how much it cost. The hotel were also great at accommodating us at dinner on our first night when a flight delay meant we arrived after the end of dinner time. The spa facilities were gorgeous and there was plenty of space. The jacuzzi was big enough for a whole football team. I also liked the fact that there was a separate nude section in the spa leaving us prudish brits to wear our swimwear in the clothed section. We even used the gym when the weather was a bit suspect. It was small but there was a good mix of equipment and it was all state of the art. The spa bag with lounger towels, pool towels and dressing gowns was a lovely touch. The hotel also let us use the spa facilities on our day of departure after we had checked out of our room. The only minor niggles we had were that we were a bit warm at night. We couldn't seem to work the aircon and suspected this was controlled centrally. The big windows and doors all had motorised shutters and having the doors open made little difference unless you had the shutter open a bit which meant you were woken up by the light in the morning. Bizarrely the curtains weren't big enough to cover the massive windows. Also, the towels were a bit small and not fluffy at all... but that's really nit-picking.
