Betalbatim Beach holidays
Jump to sections
Betalbatim Beach holidays serve up snoozy afternoons on a footprint-free stretch of sand, followed by peaceful evenings of dining out on fresh seafood.
Peace and quiet in south Goa
Pinned to Goa’s western edge, Betalbatim Beach is part of the wider Betalbatim resort. It’s pretty chilled around here – this place is all about library-quiet afternoons that are great for sunbathing on treasure-coloured sand. In the village, you’ve got a cluster of restaurants and little shops. And if you’re after something with a bit more buzz, you’re a 10-minute walk from the neighbouring resort of Colva.
Seafood, sand and surf
Betalbatim Beach has got a real off-the-beaten-track feel – most travelistas don’t know about it yet. It’s all about as lively as sunbathing and tucking in to a picnic of king prawns – you’ll find a scattering of seafood shacks backing this biscuit-coloured ribbon of sand. You can also expect great surfing conditions – sometimes you can see dolphins playing in the waves. And if you walk along the beach, you’ll spy pastel-coloured conch shells dotting the sand.
Colva Beach and countryside cycles
When it comes to exploring further afield, there’s lots to see within walking distance. If you fancy something a bit livelier than what’s on offer in Betalbatim, Colva Beach is right next door – and it’s super popular with holidaymakers. You can also hire bikes and explore Goa’s countryside on two wheels. Head into the hills and you’ll pass celery-green paddy fields and colourful Portuguese-inspired villages.
