History-packed days out
Away from the coastline, there are medinas and ancient sights to tick off in Tunisia. Kids will love walking in the footsteps of the Romans in Dougga, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Or, hop in a taxi and drive 45 minutes west of Mahdia to El-Djem – the ruins of the largest Ancient Roman colosseum in North Africa.
