    The Melia Zanzibar's in a pin drop-peaceful spot, which means there’s nothing to distract you from the sweeping views, spectacular spa and pristine beach.

    This place is nestled into a 40-acre estate, which peers down on an expansive coral reef. Golf carts whisk guests to the nearby Gabi Beach Club, where paper-white sands and watersports are in good supply.

    The Indian Ocean comes into view everywhere here. There are not one, but two infinity pools – both with pinch-yourself panoramas – as well as a jetty restaurant with wraparound vistas.

    Stayed at Melia for 10 days, in garden room. The food was perfect in all places - the jetty, spice restaurant, aqua restaurant (this restaurant is included only for AI premium) and so on. Different food evening themes at Spice - swahili, barbeque, indian, etc. Best regards to the chefs and warm wishes to the best waiter ever - Masumbuko! Nice entertainment every evening - local artists (singers, musicians). About the rooms, pool area - if you traveling only five star hotels and expecting Europeanian level you will be dissapointed. Rooms definetely need renovation, poor cleanlines.. In our room always something was broken - the air conditioning was wery loud, the door with mosquito net was broken, the hair dryer stopped working on the second day and so on. Housekeeping was poor as well. But the hotel has nice Library bar, Aqua restaurant is very beautiful as well, and the coctails were so good :) Don't miss tapas at Jetty!

    We had a wonderful 4 nights at Melia - everything was perfect and the service was friendly, warm and gracious. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in the now 63 countries I’ve visited. The room was delightful with a huge bed and food and drinks were excellent.
    Surreal experience at Melia hotel

    My family and I had an excellent stay at the Melia hotel. We made use of the swimming pool and the beach facilities. The walk along the beach from the beach back to hotel was a nice expereince and also help me to exercise. The pool facilities was excellent and I loved the dinner in the Gaba restaurant. It will be good to visit the hotel during the dry season

    Melia Zanzibar all I can say is thank you thank you and thank you for taking my family and me in, treating us like family, making us feel at home, giving us such beautiful beautiful memories and great friendships. If your on a holiday with kids (like we were) this resort is the place to be. Even though this is their off season period we had such a good time. 1). The management and staff - you can hardly call them that, their more like friends. We were all on a first name basis from day 2. They just took our kids in and looked after them so well so much so our kids would just go upto them on their own. They went on the buggies on their own. 2). The property is huge and absolutely gorgeous beyond words. They have their own private beach which is gorgeous and the villa they gave us was just beyond amazing. 3). The rooms are superb absolutely comfortable and spacious. 4). The food was beyond scrumptious and they were very flexible with the kids food. 5). The water sports centre has the best instructors. I had my first dive in Zanzibar and they just took care of me so well. They’ve now become friends. What an experience and what a memorable visit to Zanzibar.

    No words to explain everything was exceptional. The staff were very cheerful and sounded very happy to work at the Melia Zanzibar. There was nothing that was too much of a bother staff were excited to help. Great team can only be built by a good leader and the Melia Zanzibar has done just that kuddos to the GM and his team.
