The Riu Palace Tikida Agadir takes the term ‘luxury’ to a new level – a beachfront location and a chic pool scene are among its top credentials.
This hotel is right next to the beach, part of which is reserved for hotel guests, so it’s easy to flit from pool to sand throughout the day. It’s on Agadir’s shop and restaurant-lined main promenade, too.
A huge pool steals the show outside, while indoors you’ve got a handful of à la carte eateries and a spa.

This is by the far one of the most immaculately looked after hotels. There are so many staff and people looking after each part of the hotel it’s amazing. The whole hotel area is so pretty and the value for money is unbelievable. Stayed here for a week and have no complaints. A few things to note are that the male staff are all over any single females and beware of being ripped off by the taxi drivers. But I’m sure that the same can be said in other places. The hotel has no lifts but from what I could see it is all fully wheelchair and pram accessible which is great. Brilliant safe place for children with a kids club and an hours entertainment at night from 2130 till 2230 with Circus / magic acts. Unless you want to go off of the site you really don’t need any money other than a tip for the luggage boys. The beach is at the back of the hotel and there are security to check who is with the hotel and who isn’t. I went for a 20 min camel ride which worked out at about £20. It was really really good and they took some great pictures on my phone. Really sort the money and I’ll hopefully come here again when it’s really warm next summer. More

Spent 10 glorious days in this gorgeous hotel, Our room wasn't ready when we checked in but we was early so went and sampled the cocktail menu, my favourite drink ended up being a lovely peach liquor and sprite, when we did get to our room it was just perfect !! Lovely pool/sea view with the lit up mountain just in the background, we spent nearly every night sat on our huge balcony listening to the waves.... perfect !! Service was first class, a little tip (20 dirhams, just less than £2!! Is all that's needed to get a huge warm smile and fantastic service from the staff, although really isn't expected) Pool area was amazing, we always got two beds together round the pool, yes there is the age old problem of towels left and not used till afternoon which is annoying but it's not as if there is a shortage of beds !! The pool with the swim up bar was freezing !!!!! But a welcome from the sun to cool down !! I must mention the pool barman Imad what a lovely fella, an absolute credit to this hotel, he was so attentive for the entire 10 days we stayed and really did make our holiday that much more enjoyable. Not much to do round the hotel, and is a haven for the older generation as you literally do not have to lift a finger, but not much to do for a younger couple, went to the marina, only stayed about an hour, was just full of cafes, we did however visit the souk el had twice !! What an experience that was !! Not intimidating, and felt very safe but very much like Egypt as in every stall holder wants to show you something !! Don't accept anything they want you to hold and look at, that's as good as sold if you do !! All in all a fantastic hotel, clean (spotless) stylish (very posh decor actually) and first class service oh and delicious food and drink (double measures as standard) Go visit you will not be disappointed More
Another fabulous week in this amazing hotel.
This was our 2nd visit with a group of friends and family and once again we were not disappointed. Absolutely everything - service, rooms, staff, food and amenities are first class. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are a huge asset to this hotel and management have chosen them well. Special mention to Youssef. What an absolute star! We are already looking forward to booking for next November. Thanks to all the staff for making this such an enjoyable experience. More
Better than last time.
We went with a group of friends we all had a great time as we all did last year. The food was just as good the rooms just as clean the service was better because there were more staff on this year and very friendly to especially yoyo of the animation team. The weather was great i was a bit disappointed as they have stopped the trikes on the promenade we had a great time on them last year i suppose that is a big plus for some people as they could be a bit annoying. We are making plans to go back next year again. More
Simply the best
Just returned from this hotel and we are about to book again for next year. Think we’ve found our new Sharm. Massive rooms kept spotlessly clean. Great food especially the speciality restaurants, fantastic service. What more could you want? More
