    The Melia Llana has a great spot on the coast of Sal. It’s a couple of minutes’ walk from the picture perfect beach and within easy reach of Santa Maria.

    You’re right beside a white sandy beach at the adults-only Melia Llana. There are sunbeds by the ocean and two pools back at base, just a few steps from the bar. Plus, if you fancy a change of scene, you'll find a beach club down on the nearby sands.

    The numbers really add up at this place, which only makes it more appealing. There are two pools, two restaurants and four bars across the site.

      Set into terraces, you'll find a pair of swimming pools outside. There are sunbeds and parasols dotted around the pools.

      As part of your All Inclusive package, you'll get one free visit here during your stay. And you'll need to reserve a table, too. Just to let you know, men are asked to wear full-length trousers to dinner.

      The gym allows you to keep up with your usual workout or you can use the personal trainer* service. The gym is shared with the neighbouring TUI Sensimar Cabo Verde. Each hotel has its own entrance.

    Overall, I had a really good experience at Melia Llana. I would return! The staff were truly incredible, service impeccable! The food at the buffet is very tasty. Snack bar was OK - quality of food was nowhere near the buffet restaurant. Free access to the gym and spa (jacuzzi, sauna and hammam). Public wifi in public areas, and password protected wifi for each room. Food and drinks nonstop from 7am - 2am. On the day of checkout, you can continue using the facilities (including showers) and all inclusive package until your taxi to the airport. This is convenient since TAP Air Portugal departs Sal after midnight. My biggest concern and disappointment during my stay is the enormous amount of single use plastic water bottles they offer! I should note this is a very common issue amongst hotels in Sal, and not only the Meliá chain.

    Stayed at this amazing hotel 3/11/19-10/11/19 what a stunning hotel lovely staff very friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of choice for food and drinks. Plenty of sunbeds and activities during the day, would be nice to hear some background music while sunbathing round the pool. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    The hotel is nice enough and all of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and cleanliness was very good. All bar tops and the entrance to the restaurant had hand gel wash for everyone’s use. And one impressive feature was that if a drink required a straw it was picked up and put in the drink with tongues, never by hand. The delux room we had was adequate but the toiletries in the bathroom were a bit sparse. Also there was no bath tub, just a shower room, which disappointed my wife. That caused the need for a shower cap as my wife didn’t want to wash her hair everyday but there wasn’t one and the lady at reception had no idea what a shower cap was. But we got there in the end. Some of the towels in the bathroom and the pool area are getting rather threadbare which I don’t expect from a 5 Star Hotel. While there was plenty of food for all meals the selection was not great and did get a bit boring after a few days. All in all while we enjoyed our holiday the hotel did look a little tired and doesn’t warrant a 5 Star rating as it is at the moment.

    We went to Melia Llana to spend our honeymoon. Really an excellent hotel, very good and lovely staff. If you are looking for a place to chill rest and enjoy the facilities this is the right place. Level upgrade is optional. You will be taken care of anyways but Level is like the Cherry on the cake. We even got upgraded to the presidential suite for free!

    Had fab 2 weeks with friends staff very helpful and friendly Nov seems to be very busy and they need more staff in morning and evening could do with one person on restaurant floor at all times checking food crockery drinks are always replenished as ran out quite few times had to wait for soup / juice / spoons / would still return though
