20th February 2018 – The first TUI Sensatori Resort opened in Crete in 2008 establishing a unique luxury holiday concept designed to fuel the senses.    Ten years on and the eleventh TUI Sensatori Resort is set to open in Rhodes and the birthday will be marked across all locations.  A brand new TUI Sensatori scent has been developed, lavish new entertainment productions and new themed children’s activities will be introduced as well as new sports and wellbeing classes.  Sensory fuelled 10th birthday celebrations will also be held at all TUI Sensatori Resorts on 27th September.

Invigorating and Stimulating new TUI Sensatori Scent

The name Sensatori is a combination of the Japanese word Satori, which loosely translates as ‘wow’ and sense; and the concept is designed to do just that – wow the senses.     Aroma is key to sensory stimulation and in 2018 a new scent has been specially created and will be used in all TUI Sensatori Resorts.  Featuring a delicate balance of ingredients, including soothing, warm and rich Amber and cleansing, fresh and invigorating Cyclamen, guests will experience the scent in a variety of ways – from subtle sprinklings on pillows to reed diffusers and aroma burners to the essential oils used in the spa.

    Sports & Wellbeing

From high impact work outs to the ultimate in unwinding relaxation, guests can opt in to a balanced programme of sports and wellbeing activities across all resorts.   New for 2018 is Partner Yoga, allowing guests to strike a pose with their partner or friend, Fitness Pilates, a dynamic work out with bands and balls, Barre Fitness which uses the fundamentals of ballet to create a powerful workout and Mindfulness Meditation which uses the principles of mindfulness to promote relaxation.   Following the launch of aqua boarding in 2017, expect new aqua board classes in the programme including something for the little ones.  As always guests can expect a multitude of sports to choose from, state of the art gym facilities, complimentary Personal Training and every kind of fitness and wellbeing activity for adults, children and families you can think of.

    Lavish Entertainments

TUI Sensatori Resorts are renowned for vibrant and exciting entertainment and four new shows will open across all destinations this season.    Staged in purpose designed performance auditoriums guests can expect professionally produced shows every day of the week.   New for 2018 are High Voltage, a flamboyant celebration of rock music; Lifted, featuring gospel style interpretations of pop classics: Soul Town, a high energy homage to sweet soul music and Circo De Los Suenos a resplendent contemporary circus themed variety show.   For younger guests the hugely popular, effervescent Play House Live! is back as well as the buzzing Bugzical, a show for all the family.

Back to the Future at the Play House

TUI Sensatori Play House lines up loads of child-friendly sessions for 3 to 12 year olds, from the Silly Science Lab to the Crazy Kitchen – all with sensory injections and all devised by childcare experts.   This 10th anniversary year,  a ‘Back to the Future’ theme will run across all Play Houses focusing on fun developments in art, science and food in the last decade, and fast forwarding to the future as children predict what life will look, feel, taste, sound and smell like in decades from now.

    Celebratory Soirees

Guests holidaying at a TUI Sensatori Resort on September 27 will be invited to join multi-sensory soirees celebrating the last ten years and looking forward to the future.  Expect stunning illuminations, beautiful decorations, Sensatori turquoise champagne, sensory cocktails and mocktails plus culinary delights and thrilling entertainments.   Topping off the celebrations will be spectacular fireworks displays, filling the night skies with a cascade of light and colour and 3D Sensatori surprises.
