FORGET REINDEERS, TUI’S 737 BRINGS MAGIC TO LAPLAND BY DELIVERING COVID TESTS FOR CUSTOMERS ON HOLIDAY
- TUI UK deliver 3,500 pre-departure tests to families in Lapland
6TH December 2021 – TUI Airways flight TOM911P left Birmingham this morning specifically to supply pre-departure tests for TUI UK guests in Lapland. This follows the sudden travel advice changes announced by the UK Government on Saturday evening.
To help customers, 3,500 tests are currently on route to Santa’s hometown so families can have peace of mind that their magical Christmas trip can continue to be as joyful as they’d hoped.
There are 2500 TUI guests, mostly families, currently enjoying the festivities in Lapland who flew out before the announcement and are due to come home after 7th December. A further 900 customers flew out today who will also be provided pre-departure Covid tests.
TUI UK’s Commercial and Business Development Director Richard Sofer said: “Families plan all year for their magical trips to Lapland with dreams of meeting Santa, husky sleighing and feeding the reindeer. It’s our job to ensure their dreams are a reality and our Christmas elves, as ever, are on hand to help make sure they experience the magical wonders of Lapland.”
Guests departing for Lapland on the next TUI flight on 8th December will be reminded to purchase their tests prior to departure.
