This is a very good resort for families with children. The daycare has a lot of activities for the little ones and the parents can relax. The buffets are of good quality. The compound is well mainained. We have been here twice to escape the winter in January. I would highly recommend this resort to other families. There are a few minus I would like to highlight though: - The heated swimming pool is quite cold: in winter, the air temperate in Agadir is around 20 degrees and it's quite windy most of the time. We were told that the heated pool is kept at 27 degrees, but we saw several times with the themormeter that it's only 25 degrees. My children got purple lips after half an hour swimming. We think 30 degrees would be lovely for the children during the winter time. With the amount of sunshine in Agadir, the resort just have to install some sort of solar energy system to warm up the water. - The room key card: doesn't work most of the time. We were told that it would be updated. The problem is quite annoying. - Lack of the green policy at the catering department: we noticed plastic plates, cups and straw were used extensively. When we ordered a drink, a plastic straw was always automatically provided. It would be much better for the planet if people only get a straw when they ask for it. And also, plastic cups and plates shouldn't be used at the afternoon snacks at the pond (between the swimming pool and Casablanca building).
The hotel is very quiet and serene places to sit are everywhere. The staff are attentive and happy. Now we get to the food ....my goodness all healthy and well presented . Fantastic choices for all meals.
I stayed here last week for 3 nights as part of a multi centre trip with work. It's a 90 minute transfer from Phuket airport. Upon entering you can see the beautiful grounds and the tennis courts. The main entrance is open air and you really get that nice tropical feeling with natural light, as it's quite peaceful you can hear the birds so you feel straight away that you will have a relaxing stay. I had room 211 on the same floor as reception - there are only 2 floors here and there are ramps and lifts so is wheelchair accessible. Rooms are lovely and big and a bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath. My balcony faced the pool which was classed as an activity pool which was huge but not noisy at all as it led to the pool by the main bar close to the beach. The beach was beautiful golden sand and huge with a beach bar on the beach and water sports and you get a free hour to try these daily from paddle boarding to kayaking and they do morning and sunset sports and if you want to pay for any of them they start from 200 baht which is around £4.60 for 1 person kayak for 60 minutes. They do beach parties with dj, dancers, fire acts on the beach, singers and the evenings really come alive without being too rowdy - everyone enjoyed this with plenty of good cocktails. The food was plentiful and fresh with choices for everyone - from Thai to Indian and pasta, it was so delicious and they have an in house German baker who I met and they bake the bread fresh daily. Smoothies at breakfast and lots of healthy options too which fits in well with this hotel type as it's for active people as well as those who want to relax with great facilities. Thouroughly enjoyed my stay here but as Khao Lak is a quiet resort there isn't a huge amount to do but the hotel does offer a shuttle into town and they have some great excursions available as the hotel is set in the national park so if you like nature, jungle treks and want to experience a different side to Thailand without hundereds of tourists and clubs and bars then this hotel would be perfect for you. I would definitely return but as part of a multi or twin centre holiday to get the best of both worlds.
Having staying at many all inclusive hotels , this one certainly stands out from the rest. Food - superb, buffet style but considerably better than most all inclusive hotels. Staff - very friendly, efficient and hard working. Will go the extra mile to ensure you have a fabulous holiday. Accommodation - high standard throughout. Grounds - extensive and well maintained. Facilities - excellent, something for everyone be it adult or child. Entertainment - hard working staff who are passionate about putting on a great show each evening. At in all , this hotel is highly recommended.
It's a huge resort with plenty of friendly staff who would smile and say hello when they meet you It has a number of pools including a shallow one for toddlers and a heated one . The heated one was ideal in February. The Serene Spa includes all of the treatments and child free times if you adults need an extra relaxing session There are plenty of activities for everyone. If you wish you can download the Robinson App to check each day`s events. The food and drink is fabulous. The main restaurant has a large variety of traditional Moroccan and continental dishes set within a highly decorated carvery with central displays. There is also a special corner for health conscious eaters. It is encouraged to sit and socialise in the traditional Moroccan tables of 8, but you can also opt for a outside seat over looking the pools and children activity areas. At the far end of the resort, past the volley ball pitches, there is a another bar and restaurant , some 100m from their beach. This serves a range of nice cocktails too. What better way to end off a day of indulgence other than to watch the glorious sunset with a glass of wine As a travel agent I can well recommend this hotel to stay. They exceeded my expectation.
