Arenas Resort Victoria Lauberhorn

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a very enjoyable time. The complimentary breakfast spread was diverse. We enjoyed relaxing in the mornings eating a hearty breakfast before setting out for some hiking. The front desk staff were very helpful in assisting us plan our day depending on the weather. They allowed us to check the webcams before we headed out. Much thanks to Corina who checked us in and provided us with useful information on valuable information about the area and hiking. We enjoyed swimming and relaxing in the spa at the end of the day or early in the morning when it was quiet and we could have the pool to ourselves. My husband liked the massage he requested. The hotel is a short walk to the station and I very much recommend staying here.

We stayed here at the end of our 3 week European tour. The good: Great location about a minute walk to the train station, friendly staff, clean, large saltwater pool with random bubblers but not actual hot tub . The water is 33 C throughout. The breakfast buffet was extensive and loved the choices. They offer massages. They have game rooms for kids to play in with toys, legos, foosball -though we were just a couple. The fitness center is bigger than many places and had plenty of exercise equipment. They have activities such as film night , yoga and a welcome drink evening throughout the week. There were lots of children and large groups of various ethnic groups while we stayed at the beginning of September The not so good: The beds are hard. The double set up like many European beds were two singles placed together making it difficult to enjoy sleeping as a couple. The rooms are very efficient/small. Towels are thin and not very absorbent. I did not like the sauna area as it was a "nude" area- awkward for this American woman. I personally would look for a different place to stay but many like this hotel.

Booked into hotel as part of a Road Scholar tour. Great convenient location in town and across the street from the train station. Restaurant was used for breakfasts and most dinners. Buffet setup for both meals. Great choices for breakfast with eggs, meats, breads, fruits, cereals, yogurts, fresh juices and excellent coffee choices. Dinners also provided ample options for tasty choices. Hotel includes sauna, hot tub, full bar. Our room was tiny with little room to sit. Couldn’t walk on one side of bed without causing drapes to open. Room was reason rating wasn’t excellent. I’d recommend hotel only if not receiving one of the small rooms. Service was excellent. Restaurant was very very good. Room was too small.
