Corte Rosada Hotel

We stayed for five nights at this hotel. The whole place is immaculately clean with beautiful lawns and plants. The view from the gardens and the dining room is over the bay and is great to look out on. All the staff were friendly, efficient and charming. We opted for half board so had dinner each night. The food was good and seemed local and fresh. There was certainly enough of it, we love food but even we were very full! The service in the restaurant was excellent and sometimes so efficient that we had to ask for a break, which was done charmingly. We paid for a standard room which was not large but we had a huge bed and everything we needed. While we were there, it was very quiet as it was the beginning of the season which is great for us. Another advantage of this hotel is that it is very close to the airport and Alghero town which means there are no long transfers. There was no aircraft noise that we noticed as it seemed that the planes take off and land in a different direction. The whole setting is very peaceful. If we stayed longer we would need to hire a car. We did ask about excursions from the person in the 'Boutique Box' at the front of the hotel, but she was not helpful and did not get back to us! Maybe we should have asked at hotel reception where the two receptionists were unfailing helpful and told us how to get to the stunning nature reserve and got us taxis to Algehero. This was a lovely holiday and a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff.

We stayed here one night as a walk in customer. We had driven around Alghero, but could not see any nice hotels and the parking looked awful. Arrival 4/5. Our check in was friendly and efficient. Lots of parking under the pine trees. Room 3/5. We were given room 105, which faced into a large courtyard. The room was clean and functional, though we thought the mattress was average quality. Not enough power sockets for charging. The bathroom was ok. Overall, the room was fine. Location and grounds 5/5. The real star here is the location. Set on a lovely beach with a long pier. The sun sets directly in front over the sea. Excellent swimming pool and immaculate grounds. Beautifully maintained. Food 4/5. We had the buffet dinner in the evening. €25pp with lots of choices. After dinner we had a couple of Mirto digestives in the bar area. The bar man was incredibly efficient serving about 40 people on his own. Breakfast was pleasant with nice coffee. Overall 4/5. We enjoyed our stay here and could have stayed longer.
