Do I need vaccinations?
You may need vaccinations for some destinations, especially long-haul destinations. We recommend speaking to your GP, practice nurse or a private travel vaccination clinic at least two months before you travel. Some treatments, such as malaria tablets, may need to start before your holiday.
If you’re booking within three weeks of your departure date, please seek medical advice before you book.
For more information about travel vaccinations and health advice for your destination, visit the TravelHealthPro website or NHS Scotland's Travel health and vaccinations webpage.
Travelling to Jamaica
There is currently no risk of yellow fever in Jamaica. However, you may need a yellow fever certificate if you’ve recently visited a country where yellow fever is a risk.
Please speak to your GP, practice nurse or a private travel vaccination clinic for advice before you travel. You can also check the TravelHealthPro website for information about vaccination requirements, and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office travel advice for general travel information.
If you’re travelling on Marella Cruises to a destination with yellow fever certificate requirements, you won’t need to show proof of vaccination when you return to Jamaica.
