My husband and I stayed here the last week of the season. We had a sea view room which had a wow factor and is a must! All the staff were so friendly and the entertainers Steph, Cory, Sarah and Damien were fantastic. We are in our late 40s but didn't feel out of place, thank you Castell Playa for a great holiday.More
3rd visit to the Fiesta
This hotel is ideal for people wanting a quiet holiday away from it all as there is nothing in the vicinity except a couple of bar, restaurant, gift shop and beach. It is about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach - downhill. The hotel runs a courtesy bus throughout the day to the beach so you can walk down and if not feeling too energetic catch the bus back. The tourist noddy train stops immediately outside the hotel and it is about an hour for the complete trip. The bus stop for buses into Mahon are just down the road. This is our 3rd visit to the Fiesta, the 2 previous being in 2009 and 2013. The hotel is just as good as on our previous visits, with a number of the staff still working there, which says a lot about the hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpfull and speak excellent English. There have been some comments about the hotel being tired. The only thing that I could find that may need renewing is the carpet in the hallways as there are signs of it buckling due to the heavy use of suitcases being wheeled over it. The hotel is spotless, with cleaners still working at 10.00 pm. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel and gives excellent views over the bay. The rooms are serviced every day and are spotless. The swimming pool is contained within a small area and at times sunbeds can be close to each other, but we never had a problem finding 2 together. The hotel advertises that towels used to reserve beds will be removed, although this didn't appear to happen while we were there in October, although this might be different in high season. The pool bar staff are continually walking around to supply you with any drinks and there is also a covered table area by the bar if you want to sit at a table and eat. My only real gripe is the relaxation of the dress code in the restaurant at night. Men can now wear tailored shorts instead of having to wear long trousers. The hotel say this is down to TUI, so it could well be happening at other hotels. I cannot see the problem of having to wear trousers for 1 hour while you eat. If you are going All Inclusive be warned, this stops at 12 noon on the day of departure, irrespective of what time you depart. The hotel reps are always around and are willing to talk to you whenever you wish and they are on the go all the time. The other good thing with this being a Gold hotel is that there are no under 16s. If you want a relaxing holiday, this is the place to go.More
shabby and noisy
my husband and I plus 2 friends stayed here for 2 weeks in September. Carpets upstairs were bleach marked, torn and fraying, causing trip hazards. we had a blocked sink, shower not working, blackout in our room as bulb blew but was not changed, water leakage from ceiling, mould growing on ceiling. So so many stairs, darkness in corridors as automatic lighting did not come on til too late. Entertainment during day was hit and miss and aimed at 4-5 year olds. Evening entertainment was so noisy you couldn't bear to stay too near to it. Stairs came down from middle of entertainment room into lobby and quiet room so quiet room was just as noisy as upstairs and you couldn't hear on telephone calls. one lady fell down steps to toilets and broke her arm in 2 places. sign saying no smoking or eating round pool were ignored even by staff after complaints about smokers everywhere. Dreadful holiday, wanted to come home after week, many people complaining. had to ask for paper towels in toilets on several occasions. DO NOT GO THEREMore

We went to this hotel for my 60th birthday. It did not disappoint as the staff, waiters, waitresses and reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. the food was good, The drinks were good and all included in our inclusive package. The bar and entertainment area, restaurant, lounge and pool area could not be faulted. The bedroom and bathroom were clean comfortable but a little tired although it looked like there were new curtains, bed throws, cushions and seat covers. The hall carpets as people have said were a little thread bare in parts, but you only walk down the corridors. The entertainment staff were excellent. Cory & Steph the compares gave us fun, laughter and good singing. Damon a brilliant guitarist and Sarah an excellent singer providing music to listen and dance to every night. There were also special guests every night that didn't disappoint. Thank you to you all for a memorable holiday. More

Great October Break
Great views and position overlooking the horseshoe bay. Weather great, short walk to beach. Clean rooms, good food. Would be nice to have somewhere to sit out in the evening for drinks & food, shame pool bar closed at 6pm. Quiet area good bus links to Mahon & surrounding area.More
