We are a few days into our holiday and we are all having a great time Its impossible to find fault with this hotel All the staff are friendly efficient and professional The facilities are excellent with a lovely beach just across the road But the one thing that sets this hotel apart from all others is the food As a family we are very well travelled and can honestly say this is the best choice standard and quality of food we have experienced We booked half board with tui but upgraded to all inclusive with the hotel its self The cost is €23 And well worth it Both breakfast and dinner is a real treat with lots of choice all freshly cooked and presented beautifully Lunch was a real surprise We expected it to be a smaller less inspired version of dinner But it was once again excellent with a different range of dishes Tapas/ salads/ fresh pastas and heartier meals for those who wanted it None of the food at this hotel is a rehash of the previous day which is unusual for a hotel but very much appreciated Looking forward to the rest of our week And will be booking to come back next year as it will be very hard if not impossible to find a better hotel in the canary islands

have just returned from a weeks stay at the hotel Geria in Peurto del Carmen (Portillos) with my wife. This was our second winter holiday in Lanzarote and again we were not disappointed. On arrival the reception was bright and airy and the reception staff were all weloming,pleasant and most helpful. Pool towels were offered which is always a bonus on short stays. There was a small deposit but this would only be charged at the end of the stay if deemed necessary. . Meals were buffet style and both breakfast and evening and the food both plentiful and variedwith a good selection of the more Spanish options as well as local fish dishes. There seemed to be a range of day time activities for those who were interested as well as reasonable entertainment in both the main bar in the eveining. Sun beds were plentiful and not cramped together and a nice touch and I must say these were washed down and cleaned regularlly by the pool staff which I have never witnessed before and was typical of the high standrad of cleanlinees through out the hotel.The hotel is probably the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The hotel is in a very good position right across the road is the lovely beach and the coastal path taking you into the centre of Porticollis about 15 mins stroll to the centre of Peurto del Carmen 20 mins.(40mins to the busy end of centre) We had a room on the 4th floor (although this was only two floors up from reception, with sea views and overlooking the pool and palm trees. There are bus stops within 5 minutes walk to take you into the busy end of Carmen ( bus no. 03 ) or the other way into Arrecliffe. Using the fantastic promenade/ cycleway you can walk miles from right outside the hotel in both directions. Food was varied and well presented and the morning omletes were excellent and well worth trying All in all a very enjoyable stay and the management of the hotel should be congratulated on the high standards that have been set, and we would have no hesitation in coming back again.
