After staying in Melonoras regularly in Gran Canaria in hotels literally twice the price of this hotel I was a tad worried about what to expect. However I thought the hotel was fabulous , and we had s great week in the sun. I loved the bungalows that gave the feeling of a small village rather than a hotel . The rooms were immaculate clean and spacious , well cleaned daily , the sun beds on the patio were a bonus if you didn't want to go around the pool every day. The pools were nice , the big one just warm enough for a comfortable swim, the all inclusive deal was really good , the red wine was nice and the food was varied fresh and hotel every day . The location was good, about half hour walk to the centre of playa balance with its shops and bars , and a €4 taxi back. The resort Playa Blanca is lovely , much more quaint and nicer than towns I have visited in Tenerife or Gran Canaria and even Puerto del Carmen I would definitely return More
What an amazing week we have had at Alyssa suites. Hotel was immaculately clean event the footpaths were washed daily! Such a peaceful well kept location! All staff were so helpful and friendly. Giovanni really made an effort to keep people entertained. On evenings there was live music, music quiz, bingo, tournaments, karaoke. The food was simply delicious, lots of variety with different selections each day. My personal favourite were the fajitas but my husband loved the cakes! San Miguel on draught and lovely cocktails. Rooms cleaned daily, modern and spacious we had a second storey sea view room no.607 which had incredible views!! Supermarket 5mins walk out the back of the hotel. Playa Blanca 25min stroll along promenade or 4 Euro in a taxi. It was our first wedding anniversary and had a lovely surprise of champagne and a basket of fruit in our room, so thoughtful! All in all a perfect, relaxing holiday and I would recommend this hotel to anyone, I don't have one single criticism! More
Worth a visit
My first trip to Lanzarote. Looked for a quiet hotel we hit the jackpot. Very clean. Food excellent. Staff lovely. Suites modern and practical. Lovely views gardens well kept. Rooms cleaned daily. Pool towels available at a 10e deposit. WiFi available all over and it's free! Ok few small changes would work, no bottles of water available but you can fill up your water in the pool bar if you ask or the restaurant. More water facilities would be good. Tea and coffee in the room would be nice. Mosquitoes were about so take repellent with you. I had a lovely stay and would definately return. Well done and thank you.More
We arrived for our first visit to Lanzarote on the 24th October having done some careful research about the island, the resort and this hotel in particular. We were not disappointed! Playa Blanca is a great resort and the Alyssa Suite is just brilliant. From the moment we arrived until the day we left everything was just marvelous. The hotel is mainly laid out as a series of semi detached bungalows though there are a few rooms set out at the rear of the hotel as semi detached maisonettes. The rooms are spacious and very well presented, the grounds and pool areas are immaculate. The hotel caters for a number of nationalities and as a consequence the food on offer reflects this. There was always a wide selection of dishes and the quality was very good indeed. By far the biggest asset of the hotel are the staff, whether at reception, in the restaurant, the pool bar and not forgetting the cleaners and groundsmen, they are a tribute to a very well run and friendly hotel. The only "minor" criticism would be the chairs in the outside bar area which look fashionable but could have been a bit more comfortable for this particular old age pensioner.... but perhaps that's just me! Having said that we liked it so much we have just booked to return next year.More
Had a great suite overlooking the sea. Not too overlooked Good quality food and drink. Suites cleaned daily. Plenty of people fill water bottles from a machine in the restaurant great to take back to your room to put in the fridge. A bit remote but that didn't bother us as we just wanted to chill.More
