S'Agaro holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to S’Agaro are all about seafront strolls along the Costa Brava’s rocky coastline and flaking out on the sand.
Luxury living
S’Agaro’s often dubbed the Beverly Hills of the Costa Brava, thanks to its luxury houses and gated communities. And with its trendy credentials on the rise, this upmarket coastal resort doesn’t have to try very hard to draw in tourists. You can have a go at watersports like sailing and diving from the beaches, and the waterfront promenade winds its way around the rocky coastline, making it the ideal place for a seafront walk. Plus, there are bistros with shady outdoor seating along the way for a pitstop.
Sailing and sea-view dining
Sant Pol’s the main beach here – it’s a long stretch of sand, and you can sign up for watersports like sailing, windsurfing and paddleboarding at the shacks that line up along the shore. If you’d rather eye up the sea from a distance while tucking into an al fresco lunch, you can make a beeline for the road that lines the sand – it’s dotted with cafés and restaurants, most of which come with outdoor seating. The other top spot here is Sa Cona beach. This gently shelving sandy bay’s nestled between Platja d’Aro’s port and S’Agaro, and, thanks to being in a gated community, it’s usually fairly quiet.
Coastal climbs
The scenic, rocky coastline of the Costa Brava gives way to some picture-worthy hiking trails. One of the best goes straight through S’Agaro. It’s about a three-hour hike, but it can be split up if you’d rather take a short stroll. The full route is called the Cami of Ronda S’Agaro, and takes you from Sant Feliu de Guixos to Sa Conca beach. Along the way you’ll hop from cove to cove, see some of the luxury mansions up close, and pass Sant Pol beach – an ideal spot for a mid-hike cool-off.
