    These studios are set off a quiet road, about 10 to 15 minutes away from the fabulous beach – the walk there takes you through olive groves. In about the same time, you’ll reach the centre’s bars and tavernas.

    You won’t find a pool here or noisy activities and entertainment. Instead, you’ll find yourself in an oasis of calm with pretty gardens. In among the flowers and shrubs is a bar that does evening drinks.

    Quiet location at Golden Beach, Thassos

    We booked here with TUI purely on the Tripadvisor reviews and have not been disappointed. The Studios are a little oasis behind the quieter end of Golden Beach about 10 minutes walk from the beach. There are 2 small blocks set in lovely gardens, and a small bar should you wish to sit and chat with the other guests or with the owners. Our studio was roomy, with 2 electric rings and a sink, and cutlery, crockery and pans to do the basics. There is a small bathroom with masses of hot water, but it is basically a wet room and some mopping is required after showers to get rid of the accumulated puddles. The balconies are fairly private and have a distant sea view from the top floor, but they also overlook the little main road that runs right past the studios. There is off road parking should you hire a car, and some gorgeous kittens to play with should you feel inclined! A bakery van and a fresh fish van does the rounds in the morning in time for breakfast. Rooms are cleaned regularly and fresh towels and bed linen appear every couple of days. Golden Beach is a lovely sandy stretch but having been round the whole of the island, there are less crowded places to stay and visit. Having said that, it does have restaurants, shops and bars galore and plenty of sun beds. The beach shelves gently and so is ideal for families. This was a lovely relaxing holiday on a very beautiful island.

    Once again a wonderful holiday .Holiday made special by the warm welcome at the Nostos .Like going home to family .Clean and roomy apartment.Balcony was excellent for sitting out on in the evening.All the staff more than welcoming and friendly.Certainly makes you want to return time after time.Looking forward to next year.Would recommend the Nostos Studios for a relaxing holiday.

    Great apartments set in beautiful gardens had all we needed for a lovely two week holiday. Beds were comfy, linen changed regularly and cleaner in every day if only to empty bins. Good shower and hairdryer available on request. The main thing for us were the people who run the show. George, Thanasis & Vangelis were brilliant, always looking after us and making us laugh. The plaque behind the bar reads "arrive as strangers, leave as friends" and this is so true. We feel we have made new friends and most people who we met there have been going for years for the same reason. Golden Beach is a great area with something for everyone. Lots of tavernas and bars catering for all. Lovely long sandy beach with sun beds free if you buy a drink. Plenty of space if you don't want sun beds. Sea can be a bit choppy at times but beautiful clear water.

    Just returned from a two week stay here. Lovely, basic apartments within walking distance of the beach. Nothing was too much trouble for George. The bins are emptied every day (important!) and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. It's quiet, and peaceful but close enough to all ameneties to keep my 10 year old son happy! I would definitely recommend this to all and would go again if the opportunity arrives!

    First visit to Nostos studios. All I can say is go and see for yourselves.Thanasis, George and Vangelis all provide great entertainment. Bar is fantastic and is great fun. Gardens immaculate as are the apartments. My friend Shiv and I struggled to leave the island. Wish I didn’t. Beach, bars and restaurants amazing. Can’t wait to return.
