This hotel has certainly got the knack of enticing repeat visits from its guests as we encountered several other 'repeaters' on this, our second visit to Lindos Mare. The main reasons for attracting guests to return are that: a) the staff are genuinely interested in making your stay memorable - they take every opprotunity to tend to your needs as you would expect but they do it with enjoyment and warmth. b) the facilities are well maintained and quite simple with a spacious swimming pool and good access to a relaxing beach with gently sloping sand into the water. c) the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and, again, the housekeeping staff are full of enthusiasm. d) the food is varied and very tasty in both the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner as well as the pool bar restaurant for lunch if needed. There were far too many staff to single out for praise but we enjoyed the company of Anastasia (who has a mischievous sense of humour), Despoina (who helped us in our attempts at speaking Greek), Savvas, George, Nikos, Maria, Giannis x 2, Stamatis (made some excellent cocktails) plus lots of other members of staff. One of the attractions of returning to this hotel is that you immediately feel as if you are continuing where you left off from your last visit. So many of the staff are long term and know their jobs inside out and it's amazing how they remember visitors from previous years. The only caution for new visitors is to be prepared for the number of steps to negotiate from the lower levels up to the restaurant/pool/reception. There are useful lifts to assist but the very layout of the hotel, staggered down the hillside, gives it good views across the bay but at the price of lots of steps if you prefer to walk rather than using the lifts. We had a junior suite as previously and found the walk-in shower ideal. The room maid displayed artfully decorous towels each evening in the shapes of swans, rabbits, flowers, etc - all delightfully decorative and welcoming when returning to our room after a day in the sun. We never had a problem getting sun beds on the beach or by the pool even though the hotel was full. September weather was between 25 and 36 degrees and relatively quiet as there were hardly any children staying at the hotel. The hotel's motto emphasises elegance and they should continue to pursue this objective in every way whilst encouraging the staff to continue their warm welcome to all guests.More
Lindos Mare Hotel Greece
Wow what an amazing holiday we have had! In fact we have just booked to go again next August! From the minute we arrived (very late at night) the staff couldn't have been more helpful. This is a gem built into the cliff . The views , rooms and food all amazing. We can't wait to return next August! Tony and Mary Davey (Bristol)More
Very surprised by the standard of this hotel. The staff is the most friendliest we have ever experienced, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and very varied. The private beach has plenty of sunbeds which were very comfortable and didn't have a problem finding one. Nightlife is very low key. The only downside in our opinion was that there wasn't anyway to walk to at night so we went into Lindos by bus (bus stop just outside hotel) and got a taxi back.More

We booked a sea view high balcony room, and we were not disappointed.......(mind you i was expecting lilac and light green, not bright orange)...but the room was truly great....plenty of room and lovely big balcony and beautiful sea and bay view. We loved it. The facilities are second to none. THe food and eating experince was marvellous...thankyou Savvas ! The Spa was awesome and i was a regular attendee....and absolutely adored it. Evi was wonderful and made me feel so special. The beach is a dream......absolute sandy heaven.........so we rarely bothered with the pools (although they were fab !) Welcoming & Friendly-Simply the Best.
I have never written a review before..but I felt Lindos Mare well deserved a mention. It was my son's wedding and myself and my extended family (18 of us) stayed here. From the moment I made contact via email to the moment we arrived to the moment we left..all our needs were met. The hotel is clean, the location & views are unbelievable & the staff are the most helpful & friendliest I have ever come across... The food was amazing..varied & catered for everyone. We loved it so much, the hotel couldn't do enough for us..from my elderly parents to my nieces 15 month twins. I used to think people were mad going back to the same place & hotel every year..especially as there are so many places in the world to visit...but for me Lindos & Lindos Mare is a place I will go back to..it was like coming home. What a gem of a place.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..especially Efi Rooms Manager & Spa Manager. Proud Mother of the Groom Birmingham More
