A peaceful south coast treasure

Trapezaki’s primed for quiet, off-the-beaten-track beach holidays in one of Kefalonia’s lesser-trodden parts. This tiny, hillside village is home to a sand-and-stone shoreline, a handful of tavernas, and a couple of mini-markets. It’s far from cut off though – you can reach Kefalonia’s more touristy capital, Argostoli, in just 20 minutes by car. You can head to its harbour for some turtle-spotting or splash the cash along its shop-filled strip.
