Perama holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to Perama give you a city break and beach jaunt in one. You'll be staying in a laid-back seaside village, with Corfu Town's glitz and culture just a 10-minute drive away.
Best of both worlds
This laid-back village on Corfu’s east coast perches on a hillside dotted with olive and cypress trees. Here you can enjoy life in the slow lane, with Corfu Town’s bright lights just 10 minutes up the road. The writer Gerald Durrell made this his home, and no wonder. All along the coast, meanwhile, you’ve got sandy beaches and secret coves.
A duo of beaches
Perama’s 2 little beaches are an easy stroll from the village. Both enjoy a sheltered spot, laying on a mix of sand and shingle, which shelves gently into clear waters. They’re perfect for watersports. Walkers can take one of the paths into the green hills backing onto the sands. These will lead you to those secluded coves along the coast.
Near Corfu Town
There are regular Blue Buses to the island capital, Corfu Town. Here you get to explore the UNESCO-listed old town, a tangle of cobbled, winding streets, and romantic Venetian architecture. There are museums and churches to discover, including the famous Church of St Spyridon. The 16th-Century fortress is another must-see. After that, you’ll probably want a coffee, so head for the chic cafés on the Liston.
