Amari Koh Samui

We arrived early due to a morning flight, even though it was pretty much in the middle of check out we were looked after and even upgraded to a bigger room. The familiar staff are so friendly with Tiw Tiw and Karn at breakfast and Nume at the Garden wing pool helping and entertaining. Our son loved the kids club with all to do in there and would only go if Ning was there. The biggest aquisition I believe was Kwan. He hasn't been there in previous years but his kind nature and hard work (helping staff clear dishes at breakfast, out in the rain collecting used pool towels to walking all ends of the resort engaging with guests to make sure everything was right for them) has been a great investment for Amari. We had a lovely holiday again and will be back next year

Stayed here with family for nine nights. Hotel is at the quieter end of a strip of bars and restaurants and the complex is split by a road, but there is a crossing manned 24/7 by two security guards who make sure crossing is done safely and quickly Service was excellent, the breakfast covers all tastes from freshly made scrambled eggs to miso soup and everything in between. Rooms were cleaned very well each day and towels changed daily if you wanted them changing. Pool area was very clean, one minor complaint, why can't smokers use or ask for ash trays ??? The base of the very nice palm trees were always covered in cigarette end, even though the pool boys and the Pool manager tried to keep on top of it. Rant over, the pool area was very clean otherwise and there were always enough beds and towels if lazing by the pool is your thing. The water at the beach by the hotel is very shallow and as a consequence has lots of weed, we caught the free shuttle bus to the sister hotel where the beach is much nicer. Special mention to two people who helped make our stay memorable, Kwan, the pool and restaurant manager, who seemed to be everywhere at once, making sure guests were happy and if there were any issues getting them resolved asap. Lastly, Anna on reception, we had a minor issue with our rooms on arrival. Anna sorted this out within a few minutes and asked every day if everything was ok. All in all a very nice stay, wish it could have been longer, but Dubai was calling.

Currently in the middle of our stay at Amari Koh Samui and are very happy customers! We were cautious about staying in Chaweng but the Amari is tucked up at one end of the beach, within easy reach of the main town if you want to go in and with plenty of beachside restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The warm welcome, modern and clean rooms and sleek Amari decor make this a great option and has the same laid back feel as other Amari hotels. They must have spotted the date of birth on one of our passports at check in because a lovely birthday cake and card arrived which was a really lovely touch. We would come back here again and won't hesitate to book other Amari hotels in the future! And don't think twice about the hotel being separated by a road- it is no different to the walk you might have to make at other resorts unless your room is directly next the pool or restaurant,and the road security keep everything flowing smoothly!
