This big hotel matches traditional-style courtyards and good-looking gardens with a waterpark-crowned pool scene.
The adrenalin-pumping waterpark is the hotel’s crowning glory, but it’s also got a great line-up of family-friendly activity zones.
This place is on the outskirts of Marrakech, so the Red City’s souks and mosques are just a 20-minute shuttle bus ride away.

Average - Definitely not 4*
Hotel: Beautiful grounds, incredibly spacious and green (shame it was ruined by the ridiculous amounts of Halloween decorations put up on October 2nd!). Adults only pool is a beautiful oasis, very peaceful and spotlessly clean. Main pool horrific. Banging music for most of the day and a horrific amount of wasps due to the amount of half eaten plates of food and half drunk cups strewn around the place, desperately need staff to clean up throughout the day. Rooms basic but fine. However toilet door did not close (too big for door frame so no privacy) and shower door did not close (too small for frame so leaked). Air con not great so imagine this would cause problems in hotter months. Maid service erratic (no bedsheets changed in 5 days until asked). Wifi virtually non existent. Food: Plenty of choice but pretty much the same every night so became very boring. Dining room was more like feeding time at the zoo rather than a relaxed restaurant due to the poor cleanliness of the tables and terrible behaviour of children (understand this is not the hotels responsibility however there was no control). Very noisy environment. A la carte restaurants should absolutely not be called a la carte!!!!!! Disgusting! Waited 55 minutes for someone to take our order (only 2 choices) before walking out due to rudeness of staff and waiting time! Don't bother! Entertainment: Awful!!!!!!!!!!!! Singer was diabolical, and the "dance acts" left a lot to be desired...only passable act was Michael Jackson which we enjoyed. Initially started as comical but this is what let the whole holiday down. Felt like the animation team were there to entertain themselves as opposed to guests. Location: Excellent. 20 mins away from Marrakech centre, courtesy bus excellent value and convenient. Taxi approx £18 for times when the bus wasn't running. Summary: Ok for a week but wouldn't return! More

Great Family Holiday
This will be a totally honest review. We spent 2 weeks at the Aqua Mirage from 22/09/17 to 06/10/17. Our room was in Block 1 which is nice and handy for the restaurant and main pool but only a 2 minute walk down to the water park. Positives: The food was excellent, we travelled in a group of 12 including 3 young kids and everyone ate well for the entire holiday. The main restaurant had a theme night each evening. We did try the Moroccan and Indian A la Carte but they were disappointing with only 2 choices for starter and main course and very very small portions. The water park was superb, especially for kids but us adults had a great time on the bigger slides as well. The life guards are superb - twice we were in the water after sliding when a child was struggling under the water but before any of us could react the life guard was in the water rescuing the child!!!! brilliant stuff. The animation team work really hard and are great with everybody especially the kids, Simo made the kids disco with his enthusiasm. Rooms are clean and a decent size and our air con was superb. The shower did leak but the towels are changed daily so not an issue really. Staff are really nice and polite and a big thanks to Adil in the restaurant who always made sure we had a table each lunch and dinner time and was great with our kids. ( he was tipped on our last day to say thanks ) Jimmy, Mike, Simo, Mehdi, and the rest of the animation team were great. a week into the holiday our 2 and a half year old son had an accident on one of the baby slides where he lost his balance coming down and fell onto his side banging his chin and splitting it wide open. The life guards were first class and showed a lot of care for our boy and carried him to the nurse. The local doctor had to be called as it needed stitching ( dreaded the bill even with travel insurance ) the nurse advised 6000 dirham ( £500 ) but it turned out to be a very cheap 600 dirham ( £50 ) The TUI rep was also superb ( sorry i forgot your name but you were male with a goatee ) Michael Jackson night each Thursday is superb!!!!! The dances around the world was also decent entertainment. Negatives: Evening shows started around 21:50pm but that left a gap of around 45 mins from mini disco finishing but it wasnt the end of the world. The comedy night show we suffered twice was dreadful.......it's not funny....please think of something different. French guests are unbelievably rude and ignorant.......there is a queue but they don't understand the concept. The water park is open to public and on a weekend was rather busy meaning the tyres and mats were in short supply. Only the english guests will hand a tyre or mat over to someone waiting which meant I got into more than a couple of scuffles with locals and french over this issue. the Life guards didnt really intervene neither. To get a decent seat with a table outside for the evening shows you needed to be in the restaurant at opening time of 7pm and outside no later than 8pm or you were left with a little plastic seat and no table!!! unless of course you are the couple i'll mention below:( There was a couple ( probably in their early 60's and English ) who were treat like royalty with a reserved sign on their table in the restaurant and who sauntered outside at 9:30 pm every evening to find All tables in use but the staff have their table hidden away and bring it out donned with a table cloth and place it centre stage of the seating area. They then have all their drinks served to them and even take part in the live shows now and again. She thinks shes ( called mammy by staff etc) the queen of sheeba and swans around the place like she owns it. Apparently this was their 5th visit ( very sad......its a splashworld resort not saga holidays ) I have nothing against them but when every other paying guest has to fight for a table for entertainment shows but they have one reserved it does my head in. I paid the same as them so i expect fair treatment. The wasps are an issue only when lazy guests leave fizzy drinks lying around. The main pool is affected by this as is the kids splash pool but the best place to lie is next to the toilets where the orange, blue and small multi lane slides are....no wasps :) All in all a great holiday and a bargain for the facilities and food quality. Would I return.....absolutely.More
Upon arrival we were ushered into a large room like cattle and made to sit down for 15 minutes and wait for our room keys and stickers to put on our cases with no explanation what so ever. The hotel had kindly put some food on for us considering we were so late arriving this was a nice touch and balanced out the arrival debacle. The rooms are basic, nothing like the photos in the brochure, the patio door is blocked by the extra bed. We are now on day 4 of the most disorganised breakfast buffet I have ever witnessed, the queues are ridiculous, yet another cattle market. The breakfast waiting staff are not only rude but also unhelpful. I spent 10 minutes this morning looking for a spoon after asking not 1 but 3 staff where to find this. Whilst my daughter was eating breakfast a rude waiter pushed her chair in to get past with a cleaning trolley, no apology given. There are hundreds of wasps about the resort and if you leave your drink uncovered it will be full of them in 30 seconds. This place has put me off all inclusive for life! The only redeeming feature is the animation team, they are happy, friendly and full of fun! More

Brilliant but could use some improvements
Brilliant family holiday! The animation team was the best and made you feel welcome and involved. It was the animation team that made the holiday for us. We had a large group of 30 made up of children as young as 4 and adults as old as 50’s. There was an abundance of food to choose from for lunch and dinner however breakfast was a bit hit and miss so survived on eggs and salads. Unfortunately the restaurant is not big enough for the complex there are far more guests than seats in restaurant and it was always stressful finding a seat and then queueing for food, I found that my food was cold by the time I got back to the table. The staff tried hard to cater for everyone however couldn’t keep up with the number of guests, it definitely needs another restaurant, when visiting the same size complex in Egypt there were 3 restaurants and there was always a table available. In aqua mirage it was very stressful. Now to the rooms, we were in block two and had a room with double bed and single, the shower leaked. The cleaners kept rooms clean and used to take towels everyday to be changed but somethimes didn’t give the right amount back. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but being in a large group we made our own entertainment. There were a lot of French guests and found some bar staff favoured the French over the English and there were lots of little arguments with the English and French . I have never experienced rudeness from French guests before but found this at aqua mirage. The football pitches were taken over and were very rude when others tried to join in. Pool activities were great the kids loved them however the wasp problem was beyond a joke they are everywhere. They were generally tame but lots of people were stung and lots of children were stung on the foot as the wasps on the floor and the grass. Some staff were rude but this wasn’t the majority, the security were friendly. You have to pay for drinks at the night club and they are quite expensive. All in all for the price the holiday was great we wouldn’t go again but was the best for what we wanted!More
