The pool here is a real trend-setter, with an abstract shape and islands scattered with palm trees. It's a huge number, surrounded by a spacious sun terrace where you can spend your day relaxing on one of the sunbeds. For a bit of luxury, chillout on a Balinese sunbed. There's even a heated section in winter for year-round swimming.

Currently Visiting the Sofitel Agadir resort, this is an amazing hotel with great views however the pool side service was disappointing, not sure if it was down to being English Indian clearly not valued!! but had to wait and still waiting!!! besides that the hotel is beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Agadir, good hotel just the service mainly poolside shocking!! More
The hotel was brilliant. They made me and my family feel like we were at home. Brilliant rooms and a special thanks to : Fatima Zohra for the excellent service in the mornings for breakfast. Abdenabi for the excellent service in the evenings. He was there whenever we needed anything and always had a smile on his face. Overall me and my family found the hotel brilliant and I would defiantly recommend it to everyone. More
A must ...if you stay in Agadir!
What a beautiful relaxing hotel. The staff are all very attentive, plus bar staff remember what drink you like! The room wasn't as big as we thought it would be but it was far from being small. Dressing gowns and slippers are provided along with Agan bath products.Every day the room was made up/ dressed beautifully. We did not get a turn down service ( unsure if this was available), but every evening chocolates and bottles of water were left, which was a nice touch. If I had to find a fault, it would be the other inconsiderate guests!... speaking loudly in the corridors at night... letting doors slam...etc. we did have a couple of mornings in which we were woken up at 7am by the occupants in the room above. Basically it was a person walking around the room in heels... we relasied it must be cabin crew who use this hotel daily. After the second morning of being woken up, we mentioned it to the reeption staff. They were happy to move us to another room...however it was decided they would move the cabin crew room somewhere else. The food at this hotel is so good. I am a fussy eater, yet i still had a massive choice every meal, every day! Security in the hotel is excellent, we felt very safe at all times. The concierge was amazing, especually if you require advice / booking for playing golf! We will definately be returning...and cant wait!More
Incredible, 5 star luxury all the way.
I've travelled to Agadir numerous times and have always wanted to stay in the Sofitel. This was the year and I wasn’t disappointed. We were greeted by warmth and friendliness from the lady on reception and check in was quick. On arrival you are welcomed with a traditional mint tea and Moroccan biscuit. The room was fabulous. Spacious, clean, modern and cool. I only booked a standard room but we were upgraded to a pool view. The room was spacious with plenty wardrobe/drawer space. The bed was massive, and very very comfortable. There’s no balcony to the rooms facing the pool but this didn’t bother me. There was a basket of fruit, a large bottle of still water, a large bottle of sparkling water, 2 small bottles of still water and 2 chocolates in the room. You got 2 small bottles of water and 2 chocolates every day and complimentary toiletries replenished every day. We had a problem getting into our safe one day and had to call reception. Within 15 minutes 2 members of staff arrived. The engineer and a member of staff accompanying him which was very comforting. We also had to sign to say we'd had the engineer visit. Throughout the hotel staff are so friendly and look happy to be there. You are greeted by everyone with a “bonjour” and a smile. Breakfast was amazing. So much to choose from and too much to list, something for everyone. The grounds were clean and impressive with plenty comfortable sunbeds on the beach and around the pool. Some of the double sunbeds were quite high though and I don't think I would have scrambled on them very ladylike :-) We were made to feel very special from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out and I can’t wait to go back.More
'All inclusive' package misleading and a waste of money
Not at all impressed by is hotel, which is far from 5*. We went for the all inclusive option, but on arrival was told that this only covered 1 of the 3 restaurant options, which was the buffet. The drinks deal finished at 11pm, after which we had to pay full (and massively overpriced) amount for drinks. The bars only had one bottle of local spirits per day, and when that was gone it was gone - no alternative offered. Generally the whole deal seemed to be trying to catch you out so you accidentally ordered something off package and therefore had to pay. There was nothing on their website to suggest this would be the case. When we questioned this with reception on arrival they simply said 'well we inform guests of what the deal includes when they arrive'. Hardly how a 5* hotel should operate....One small bottle of water per day (otherwise you had to pay for the ones in the mini-bar), no toiletries, and a dated room and bathroom. Really unimpressed by the whole hotel policy which was much more geared towards making money where it can rather than the enjoyment of the guests. A lot of money, which could be much better spent at another hotel. Won't be staying at a Sofitel again.More
