This trip is made for little ones. Your day starts with an early flight to Rovaniemi, where you’re greeted by Santa’s elves and whisked off to Santa’s Secret Grotto in Rovaniemi’s Santa Park. This cosy winter wonderland is yours to explore, decorated with fairy lights and shopping stalls. You can take your pick of what you get up to during the day, and there’s plenty to choose from…
The elves are off the shelf on this day trip. Take a ride on the Santa Park Train to see what Santa’s little helpers get up to behind the scenes in the toy factory, then head to Elf School to find out whether you’ve got what it takes to join their ranks. You’ll get a certificate to take home with you, too. Keen bakers can pop over to Mrs Claus’ bakery to decorate gingerbread men, and then the whole family can snuggle up and listen to local Lappish legends in a traditional tent. But the highlight of the day is meeting Santa, so make sure you’ve memorised your Christmas list...
On this day trip to Lapland you’ll fly to Kittila, and on arrival you’ll be given a snowsuit and boots to wear. This tour gets you up close and personal with Lapland’s wilderness, so you’ll have plenty of time outside to make the most of the snow.
Hop on a sleigh ride with Santa’s reindeer around frozen lakes and snow-covered forest, or try a husky-led sleigh where you’ll learn about how the dogs are trained before journeying out into the wilderness. If you’d prefer to take the reins yourself, there are snowmobiles on hand so you can explore at your own pace. Just remember to bring your driving license. For those who prefer to keep things a bit more low-key, you can meet Santa, try snowshoeing - wearing shoes that make you feel like you’re floating on the snow - or warm up by the campfire with hot berry juice. Just don’t forget to save time for one last snowball fight before your flight home...
