Andrew Flintham became Managing Director of TUI UK & Ireland in March 2018. He had worked for the travel firm for over 13 years, most recently as Commercial Director. His previous roles at TUI have included Aviation Planning Director and Mainstream Planning Director for First Choice.
Prior to joining the company, Andrew worked in a number of positions for British Airways, having begun his career with the Ford Motor Company after graduating from Southampton University with a geography degree.
Richard’s role as Commercial Director was expanded in September 2018 to become the Commercial Business Development Director. He was originally appointed to the Board of TUI UK & Ireland in December 2017. In his role he is responsible for identifying development and growth opportunities for the business and driving its commercial potential. Richard looks after the Commercial Business Development function which is made up of the teams responsible for Marella Cruises, Aviation Planning, Yield, Commercial Transformation, Ancillaries, Ireland, Ski Lakes & Mountains and Product & Destination Experience.
Richard joined TUI in September 2016 as Managing Director of Thomson Cruises. He successfully led the Cruise team through the launch of Discovery 2 in May 2017 and the rebrand to Marella Cruises as Thomson changed to TUI in October 2017.
Prior to joining TUI, Richard worked for GLH Hotels where he held senior financial and Chief Executive roles. His last role was Chief Executive of Thistle & Every Hotels where he held responsibility for the development and launch of new hotel brands, as well as being accountable for the profits on existing hotels. He was also a member of the Executive Board.
Dawn Wilson was appointed Managing Director of TUI Airways in January 2019 and leads TUI’s Northern Region Airlines – TUI Airways in the UK and TUI fly Nordic, working in conjunction with the UK and Nordic markets. Dawn is also responsible, within her active role as Director of Airline Operations on the TUI Aviation Board, for aircraft operations of all five TUI Group airlines in Europe – co-ordinating operational alignment and delivery of efficiency initiatives.
Dawn’s career began as cabin crew in 1988 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Modern European Studies – later holding a number of key leadership roles in the organisation, including General Manager of Cabin Crew and Director of Ground Operations.
Caroline Kitcher was appointed HR Director of TUI UK & Ireland in 2013, assuming control of all HR functions, ensuring that the company is a great place to work, with employees who are passionate and deliver exceptional service while enjoying exceptional career opportunities. She is also the HR Director of TUI Group’s Northern Region.
Prior to her appointment, Caroline spent the early part of her career with Whitbread Plc. – with roles including HR Director for Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants and HR Director for David Lloyd Leisure – before moving to Guocco Leisure. Caroline studied Business Studies at the University of Sunderland.
Lyndon Hearn was appointed IT Director of TUI UK & Ireland in 2015, tasked with overseeing the technology which underpins the customer service and enables colleagues to deliver fantastic, forward-thinking service. Lyndon’s role involves leading the day-to-day operation of the 450 systems across retail stores, online, mobile devices, and on-board Thomson Airways aircraft.
Prior to his appointment, Lyndon worked as IT Director for Tesco, and at Yahoo! and Kelkoo.com – having graduated from Nottingham University in Computer Science and spent the early part of his career in Research & Development for software at Philips and Nortel Networks.
Jeremy Osborne was appointed Director of Strategic Innovation and Business Change at TUI UK & Ireland in October 2015. In his current role, he is responsible for ensuring all business-wide change and improvement programs are prioritised, coordinated and delivered to drive organisational efficiency and customer value. He also oversees innovation which includes the TUI Travel Lab – a team set up to develop new and emerging technology to introduce forward-thinking products that enhance the customer’s holiday experience.
Previously, Jeremy held Digital Director and Ecommerce Director roles at the holiday company behind leading holiday brands Thomson and First Choice. Prior to joining TUI Jeremy spent time, still within the travel industry, at Opodo and Page & Moy. Before that, Jeremy studied English and Politics at De Montfort University.
Rob Coldrake was appointed as the TUI UK & Ireland and Northern Region Finance Director in May 2017.
Rob joined Thomson in 2006, just prior to the merger with First Choice, and worked as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. He worked as part of the merger team on defining the synergies and took on responsibility for combining the Thomson and First Choice Management Accounting Teams. In 2009, he became Director of Performance and Planning and then, in 2011, became Tour Operator Finance Director.
In 2013, he took on additional responsibility for Retail and Web under a new Commercial Finance Director remit. He then joined TUI Destination Services as Finance Director in January 2015 where he worked hard to build a h3 Finance Team and has been absolutely key in the successful set up of TUI DS.
Pete Baxter was appointed General Counsel in December 2013, taking responsibility for all legal activity, policies and political affairs. In this role he is accountable for the provision of legal service and support across the UK & Ireland business and TUI Group’s Northern Region.
Aside from his position on the board of directors, Pete is also Chair of ABTA’s Code of Conduct Committee, uniting a team of legal and industry experts to maintain compliance and high standards in the UK travel industry. Pete began his career with the company in 1996 working overseas and has since held positions including Consumer Legal Services Manager, Head of Customer Legal, General Counsel – UK & Ireland, before assuming his current role of General Counsel – Northern Region covering UK & Ireland, the Nordic countries and our Group holdings in Russia and Canada.
Katie was first appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer and Board member for TUI UK & Ireland in June 2018, with responsibility for Marketing & Customer Experience. Her remit extended to Sales & Marketing shortly afterwards in September 2018.
In this role, Katie is responsible for the full customer strategy across the UK business. She also looks after the core marketing disciplines including brand strategy, advertising, CRM, customer insights and PR for TUI, First Choice and Marella Cruises, as well as all the sales and customer contact channels – eCommerce, Retail and contact centres.
In Katie’s prior role as Digital Director for TUI Group she was responsible for the Group Digital Marketing function, leading the product and commercial teams within TUI App, to provide a mobile experience to customers of all nationalities who travel with TUI. Katie has also driven best practice for all of TUI Group’s advertising channels which has included the implementation of a new customer platform which in turn has helped TUI to better understand its customers. Katie started her career with TUI in 1999 in the Commercial area of TUI UK & Ireland with roles in trading, product and destination services.
