Andrew Flintham

Andrew was appointed as Managing Director for TUI UK & Ireland in March 2018. His role was extended to become Managing Director for TUI’s Northern Region in April 2020. The Northern Region is TUI UK & Ireland and TUI Nordic, which covers Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Andrew had worked for TUI for over 15 years, most recently as Commercial Director. His previous roles at TUI have included Aviation Planning Director and Mainstream Planning Director for First Choice.

Prior to joining the company, Andrew worked in a number of positions for British Airways, having begun his career with the Ford Motor Company after graduating from Southampton University with a Geography degree.

Henrik Anderson

Henrik Anderson became Finance Director for the Northern Region in August 2020 and has worked for TUI since 1999 when he joined Britannia Airways as a Business Controller. Henrik has worked his way up through various leadership roles in the airline and in the tour operator organisation, both in financial and operational roles.

Henrik joined the board of TUI Nordic three years ago as Finance Director. Henrik is a firm believer in creating a modern finance function where data, analytics, AI & Machine learning meets creative and innovative people.

Henrik resides in Stockholm, Sweden with his family.

Richard Sofer

Richard’s role as Commercial Director was expanded in September 2018 to become the Commercial & Business Development Director.  He was originally appointed to the Board of TUI UK & Ireland in December 2017.  In his role he is responsible for identifying development and growth opportunities for the business and driving its commercial potential. Richard looks after the Commercial & Business Development function which is made up of the teams responsible for Marella Cruises, Aviation Planning, Yield, Ancillaries, TUI Ireland, Crystal Ski Lakes & Mountains and Product & Destination Experience.

Richard joined TUI in September 2016 as Managing Director of Thomson Cruises.  He successfully led the Cruise team through the launch of Discovery 2 in May 2017 and the rebrand to Marella Cruises as Thomson changed to TUI in October 2017.

Prior to joining TUI, Richard worked for a number of FTSE 100 businesses including Rolls-Royce, Whitbread & Home Retail Group, most recently for GLH Hotels where he held senior financial and Chief Executive roles. Richard is a Chartered Management Accountant and also sits on the Board of ABTA, The Travel Association.

Katie McAlister

Katie was appointed as Chief Marketing Officer and Board member for TUI UK & Ireland in June 2018. Her role was extended to encompass a global remit in September 2020 with responsibility for brand strategy and digital for the entire TUI Group.

In her position as CMO for TUI’s Northern Region, Katie is responsible for the core marketing disciplines including brand, advertising, digital CRM and E-commerce for TUI UK and Ireland, First Choice and Marella Cruises, as well as all sales channels.

Katie started her career with TUI in 1998 in the Commercial area of TUI UK & Ireland with roles in trading, product and destination services.

Katie graduated with a Modern Languages degree in French and Spanish from Manchester Metropolitan university before joining TUI.

Dawn Wilson

Dawn Wilson was appointed Managing Director of TUI Airways in January 2019 and leads TUI’s Northern Region Airlines – TUI Airways in the UK and TUI fly Nordic, working in conjunction with the UK and Nordic markets. Dawn is also responsible, within her active role as Director of Airline Operations on the TUI Aviation Board, for aircraft operations of all five TUI Group airlines in Europe – co-ordinating operational alignment and delivery of efficiency initiatives.

Dawn’s career began as cabin crew in 1988 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Modern European Studies – later holding a number of key leadership roles in the organisation, including General Manager of Cabin Crew and Director of Ground Operations.

Julie Tindale

Julie Tindale was appointed HR Director for the Northern region in October 2020, assuming control of all HR functions ensuring that the company is a great place to work, creating exciting opportunities for colleagues who are passionate about our brand and the delivery of excellent customer service.

Prior to her appointment, Julie was the Head of Reward for the TUI UK & Ireland business and before this had a long and varied career with Whitbread Plc and Costa Coffee with leadership roles that encompassed HR transformation, global reward, employee relations and technology.

Pete Baxter

Pete Baxter was appointed General Counsel in December 2013, taking responsibility for all legal activity, policies and political affairs. In this role he is accountable for the provision of legal service and support across the UK & Ireland business and Markets and Airlines.

Aside from his position on the board of directors, Pete is also Chair of ABTA’s Code of Conduct Committee, uniting a team of legal and industry experts to maintain compliance and high standards in the UK travel industry. Pete began his career with the company in 1996 working overseas and has since held positions including Consumer Legal Services Manager, Head of Customer Legal, General Counsel – UK & Ireland, before assuming his current role of General Counsel – Northern Region covering UK & Ireland, the Nordic countries and our Group holdings in Russia and Canada.
