What are the changes to the information hotels in Spain will collect on my arrival?
Spain has recently introduced a new law (Royal Decree 933/2021) aimed at supporting national security. Visitors to Spain have always had to provide certain information such as passport details, which are then shared with local authorities. The new law requires the hotel to collect other personal information on arrival. In addition to the information in your passport, you can expect to be asked for your home address, phone number, email address and the relationship between you and any children in your party.
