This tall hotel is right in the middle of Grandes Playas, Fuerteventura’s biggest sandy beach. Corralejo’s restaurants and bars are just 15 minutes away by bus – it stops just outside the gates.
The hotel has a pair of pools that both come with their own snack bars. As for dining, the Canarian and Asian restaurants are supported by weekly theme nights at the two main buffet places.

2 outdoor pools
The pool scene gets the thumbs up here. The main one comes up pretty big while the other is a curvy number surrounded by glossy palms. Not only that but there's even a whirlpool bath thrown in the scene. Heated in winter at the manager's discretion.
If you enjoy art then look no further. Come along to the art workshops, part of the activities programme held several times a week.
RiuFit fitness classes
Classes include aqua gym, stretching and legs-bums and tums. Times vary, just see the entertainment team for more information. They can provide a weekly programme depending on demand.

An oasis of relaxation
Returned from this hotel last week, we had a lovely time and have returned relaxed and refreshed. The best bit is the beach, it’s heavenly. Sugar soft sand and crystal clean water. We bathed and bronzed ourself on the beach every day and it was wonderful. You pay 9 euros for two loungers and a parasol which we thought was reasonable. There’s a beach bar where you can buy snacks, beers and mojitos from. Food in the hotel was also excellent. Good quality and plenty of variety. Roasted meats, fish, salads, vegetables, breads and all plentiful and tasty. You can help yourself to beer and wine in the buffet restaurants as well as soft drinks and water. The annex side pizza chef was amazing and I could have eaten the pizza all day. Delicious. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurants. Didn’t try either of the themed restaurants Drinks were good, well made and the barmen were fantastic! Some of the cocktails were premade, but we had spirits and they tasted fine to me. The room was the only letdown. It was fine, we’re on holiday so we hardly spent any time in it, but it was very tired and needed a desperate refurb. Chipped paint, filled in holes in the bath and badly maintained grout in the bathroom was not the best sight, but it was ok. Bed was hideously uncomfortable. Was clean enough but I think the rooms are not good enough for what the hotel brand claims to provide. We stayed in an annex room. Nice view of the pool and we had a decent size balcony. Hotel grounds were clean and well managed. The staff were all friendly and kind, they really do deserve the highest praise for making such an effort. Thank you all, I would love to return, just hope the rooms have improved. More
ClubHotel Riu Oliva Beach Resort
ClubHotel Riu Oliva Beach Resort Corralejo! We're not long back from a smashing two week break at the Oliva... Our room was lovely, looking out on the pool, not the main pool but the second more nicer pool at the rear of the resort with its little island in the middle. The room was always freshly cleaned and properly cleaned, if you get my drift, the beds were very comfortable and just the right gradient of firmness.. The shower was first-class... The entertainment/shows were ok, nothing to write home about, usual lip synching, with a number of professional acts preformimg too! The pools...There are...as I said two lovely swimming pools and a jacuzzi. The beach is just at the rear of the hotel and it runs for miles all kitted out with sunbeds and brollies at €3 a bed and there's a number of bar/restaurants along the beach serving food and drinks. The bar service back at the hotel was first rate, especially at the small bar at the front of the hotel, there was a bald headed chap/barman that was like lightning with his bar service... We had some veru enjoyable evenings there watching the two piece bands and at the discos too. I couldn't fault any of the staff for how hard they worked and how welcoming and friendly they all were. My only slight gripe is it was a bit far from the town, well...not walking distance.. But you can hop on a bus, for the short run into town.. That said you have all you need at the hotel. So would I recommend it, certainly...great for couples and families alike! More
Great time once again
Just come back from another great week, staff at check in remembered us, nearly all staff the same, very polite helpful nothing too much trouble, always clean, the food was Fab, always find something to eat, plentiful even if you go late, we stayed in the main Building, better for us as my husband has mobility problems, lifts and ramps everywhere, Will be returning again, my complements to the management and staff,More

Just one complaint
Loved the hotel very clean food good staff amazing location could not be betterbut this hotel needs to do something about guests putting towells on beds at the crack of dawn .we get down to the pool early but stay there we saw towels on beds for six hours one day and no one sat there they came back at 2pm another day a family of six had twelve sunbeds two each one for the sun and one for the shade there were people coming down at 9am and could not find anywhere to sit and some were reserving beds and not coming back at all maybe people were not complaining to hotel but they were certainly complaing and for that alone I will not be returning 😞More
Good Holiday 👍
We have just returned from our 1 week holiday at this Hotel.I brought my Dad who is 69 for a relaxing wk away. As a rule I don't do package holidays and usually hire a villa. We got this holiday at a good price 4days before we travelled so I thought what the heck ,let's give it a try. We arrived at the Airport in Fuerterventura and the Thomson Reps were waiting to direct us to our coaches. We got on ,& waited & waited. Some holidaymakers who were already on the coach said they had been waiting an hour already. This just enforced my reasons behind never taking a package holiday!! When we finally set off it was dark so we couldn't see much.We were taken straight to the Hotel which on first impressions looked pretty decent. Check in was very swift with a few members of staff checking about 30 Brits in!You could leave your case at Reception & it was delivered to your room later. We had a room in the Annex Buildings across from the main Hotel,so armed with a map off we went to find our room. All rooms are well sign posted and we found ours pretty quickly. We had an upstairs room. First impressions ,just like other reviewers have said ,are the rooms are dated.I believe the Hotel was built in 1975 so it's to be expected.I am not bothered about dated decor so this wasn't an issue for us.We had a nice big downstairs with 2 large sofas,a balcony,a table,tv & fridge.Upstairs (which was up about 10 steps up might I add) ,had our twin beds, wardrobe with a free to use safe,& a bathroom n free aircon which worked pretty well. The bathroom had a bath with a fabulous shower over it.Better water pressure than my shower at home! Also sink & a bidet (do people actually use them things?!! pmsl) A lovely big mirror was over the sink and they have an old fashioned hairdryer on the wall.I just unplugged it n plugged my own in as it would have took me 2hrs to dry my long hair with the Hotel one. Tv hasn't been upgraded to a modern screen yet but Dad was happy with it & watched a movie or Sky news when he couldn't sleep , so it did the job. Everything was very clean,I couldn't fault the house keeping. My only gripe with the room was that it didn't have a full length mirror for us ladies although on a plus I couldn't see how much bigger my behind had got with all the food I ate!! The fridge is a nice touch but I think 2 small bottles of water would be a nice gesture for arriving guests. The restaurant was less than a minutes walk for us to go & eat.The food was amazing.I wasn't expecting such good standard and such choice. So good in fact, that I put 6lb on in a week....good job we skipped lunch every day or it could have been worse. The staff worked really hard at every sitting.I would like to mention Mari, she always said goodbye to you & was always smiling. She is a credit to the Hotel.Good staff can make or break a Hotel. We watched the Entertainment in the main Hotel everyday apart from 1.Its translated in Spanish ,German & English. If you are expecting bigger things here then don't!! It was some of the cheesiest things I have ever watched.A few shows were passable but the rest were dire in all senses of the word! I think the best night was karaoke...although I didn't have a clue what most of it was about as the majority of it was in German although 3 Brits got up singing in English. Everyone seems to disappear after the shows & the room empties...I'm assuming they all go to bed seeing as the average age in the Hotel must be 70 plus!! My Dad fit in quite well with the age range .Drinks were fine but I'm not a cocktail fan so can't comment on them.I stuck to mainly lager which was Amstell. The red wine is passable but does look like a weak version although it was nice enough to have with my meals. The sun lounger issue that I'd read about didn't affect us.Yes there were odd towels on,but we always got one if we wanted one.Maybe it's worse in the Summer Holidays but it wasn't an issue when we went. The Hotel is a couple of minutes walk to the most beautiful beach I have ever set eyes on.Wow is the word. This sells it ...we loved the beach and the dunes. You could swim in the sea every day we were there and it's very shallow.Oh n it's full of naked people further down displaying their meat n veg! So if you are looking for an all over tan this is your beach. Also a few bars on the beach €3:50 for a large beer. There's a Dino Supermarket 2 minutes across from the Hotel.Get your fags from there as it's cheaper than duty free (Lambert & Butler €27:75 a sleeve)! If you are looking for a nice quiet peaceful holiday with fabulous food and a wonderful beach then this Hotel is for you. It's about 85% German occupancy ,you will be spoken to in German first until they realise you can't 'sprechen sie deutsch' ! Although makes a change from the loud Brits in Footy shirts ha!! After 5days of not hearing any English conversation we went into Correlejo and ate near the harbour then went into an Irish Bar.€8 in a cab. What a crack we had,and it made a difference to speak to other English folk rather than just my Dad!! Sorry Dad! Would I come here again...Yes I would, but 1 wk was enough for me, purely for a total recharge & relaxation holiday in lovely sunshine on a lovely beach in a nice clean Hotel what serves up great food.It was a good week in a Hotel with good standards. Oh n for any late night drinkers they have a disco bar that serves until 2am.I took Dad in one night n we stayed till 1am,I don't know if it ever gets full but there was only 8 of us in that night.More
