Excellent views and staff
We stayed here for a week in a deluxe room 313 and the views were stunning and the staff were very helpful. The hotel had 2 lifts which are needed if you are on the higher floors they are clean and quick. You have your own little beach with soft sand so you can walk out in the sea with no pebbles or stones to walk over. If you are lucky turtles lay eggs on the beach at night. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We used the kitchen facilities and was great gas cooker and fridge freezer. It costs around £10 from the airport. We had a fabulous time at this hotel and the price you pay with these views is exceptional you wouldn't get nothing like this in European resorts. Would highly recommend here but stay in at a higher level. More
This is a great no frills hotel. Located at The Gap, makes a great base for anyone here as there are lots of bars, restaurants, shops and cafes in walking distance. Every room has a sea view. Easy access to laundry room which is great for anyone with families and the gym is surprisingly good! Much better than expected and if I could have been bothered would have used it more. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I will say that it can be noisy some nights, due to karaoke happening across the road and quite a few bars being close by. If you keep the bathroom door closed this seems to help. Couldn't properly figure out the coffee machine in the room, even after googling it. Americans will know how to use this. Can't comment on the restaurant as didn't eat there. We would stay here again.More
Beautiful hotel situated in the best beach location, hotel has everything you need whether you want to go selfcater or use the restaurants on the hotel or on the Gap itself the hotel staff are brilliant they even arranged our airport transfers for us both ways nothing any trouble even down to arranging flowers for my husband to surprise me on our Anniversary. The hotel even phoned our room to say on checking out we could keep our room longer without any extra charge. Definitely recommend Rostrevor hotel we will certainly be going back. Well done RostrevorMore
things aint what they should be
my wife and i stayed at this hotel (1st time and last) we knew it was on the gap we knew there would be noise but as some reviews say close the bathroom door and it helps keep the noise down (like donald duck it does) any how had no hot water for 3 days asked the thin girl on reception que rolling eye,s and teeth sicking " because it,s cloudy the solar panels don,t work " sorry they work off sun light (day light) so was not happy yes we got caught up in the tropical storm no member of managment turned up to ask a are you ok b is everything alright we,re doing our best if you make a landline to landline local call (island) you will be charged 15cents a minute ( last time i checked theses type of calls were free there is a convience store next to the hotel get a receipt and check the prices at lease highway men wore mask.s if you tyurn right out of the hotel and keep walking just past sapphire beach there is a bar called prontos a rum & ncoke plus a bottle of beer $7 bbd and try the 12" jerk chicken pizza ( i hate remembering the food beer etc when i,m home) happy days well it,s just that top food all round yet again any would be singer,s al,a carpark bar doe,s kareoke mon, tue wed, ther is a bar opposite the hotel that does it thurs and happy hour is 9 till 12 carib 2 for 1 also do a mean fish cutter i doubt if a minion posing as a manager will answer this but it,s to late now this is my honest opinion of the rostrevor and i would not recomend it to any one ther is little or no security as you will find broken bottles outside lift door and shouting drunk,s waking everyone up but thats ok like i said this is my opinion and like backsides every body has one if i find fault i will say so as a warning to fellow travellers this is our 11,th visit to the wonderful island so we are not to taken as fools there are people who would not stay anywhere else fair play to them But you have been warned stay here at your perilMore
Another great stay!
I stayed here five years ago so I was confident booking here again. It's a very clean apartment-style hotel. Room was cleaned daily but they do come early. We ended up upgrading mid-stay to get more room. The hotel was very accommodating for our last minute request. The small beach at the back is a nice treat and very convenient. Beach towels are provided. They no longer provide paper towels though which was a little odd so bear that in mind. The dish soap is now in a tiny bottle that costs $2USD to be refilled. I'd suggest walking about 10minutes to the grocery store down the road to stock up on essentials. All in all, I'd return here no problem!More
