Holidays to Patong Beach are packed with watersports, round-the-clock nightlife, and grab-and-go street eats.
Patong Beach runs on a high voltage. This beach resort, on Phuket’s west coast, is known as the liveliest on the island, and it attracts tens of thousands of tourists every year.
By day, it’s the beach that gives off the sparks. It runs for two miles, and it's backed by a chaotic line-up of street food carts and market stalls. There’s a lot going on in the sea, too. When it comes to watersports, you name it, this place has got it.
At night, the resort’s electricity shifts to Bangla Road. There are more than 100 bars here, ranging from live music venues and theme pubs, to karaoke bars and pool joints. If you’re not thirsty, you can get your kicks, literally, at Bangla Boxing Stadium. Muay Thai fights take place here 3 nights a week.
