Concorde Marco Polo Hotel

Well what can I say what a fantastic holiday we all had. THE ANIMATION TEAM. TITO,MAROO,SAM,ALI,BILLY,SOUSOU and all the others that I have missed the names of did an absolutely fantastic job from morning till night ,they all work so so hard keeping everyone happy around the pool beach ,and then again in the evening.they work such long hours they need double there pay for what they all do. They all are a credit to your hotel and they are the ones that keep everyone laughing and happy on their holidays. I have been all over the world staying in hotels but let me tell you this was by far the best entertainment team.if it wasn't for these guys being so energetic, enthusiastic, happy, smiling workers OUR HOLIDAY would not of been the same. Look after these guys dear MANAGER. Also poolside bar staff very friendly and polite. SLIM (shady)the evening waiter couldn't do enough for you.well to be fair everyone was absolutely brilliant so polite, helpful, happy people. On28th September Saturday it was my friends birthday and the waiter at our evening meal couldn't do enough for us,sang happy birthday too.birthday cake also a nice surprise. The manager of the hotel reception was brilliant sorting out our rooms 8 of us ladies all together.rooms were lovely and clean. Thankyou for making our HOLIDAY ENJOYABLE we will definitely be back.

I am not one to criticise but this hotel deserves it.It has gone from a 4 STAR riu to a 1+ concorde. On arrival we had cold meat and salad at 11 pm, went to our room to find no curtain track to draw curtains, went to shower in the bath was enamel peeling in the bath. Went to reception, said come back in morning 9 am, told come back at 12.So still could not unpack or shower after traveling from 11am previous day. Manager said well you asked for a low ground floor, i said yes but i wanted curtains and a bath with no chippings in it' like it was my fault. We were given a room om the top floor with a sea view.Corridor carpets were stained and thread bear. While unpacking man come in to sort out tv remote that had been reported before we arrived, all it needed was two batteries, took 3 visits and 6 days before it got sorted. Food was chicken or beef every day no variation, chicken i bit into still had blood running out of it.Salad and fruit left out over night, waiters were ignorant and rude, had to fight to find cups knives and forks. Pool is lovely but full of sand and black grit.

Check in was very professional thanks to Kais- room (with a seaview) very comfortable but could do with an update-it was 32degrees during the first week and NO air conditioning so it was virtually impossible to sleep-cleaner did a good job but the towels need to be replaced (very thin,hard and grey) - pool area and gardens were fabulous-very large pool but the pool toilets needed cleaning a lot more often - good service at the pool bar. The restaurant at lunch and dinner were chaotic because there just weren't enough staff to cope with the number of guests-food was very repetitive and not of very good quality-many of the guests suffered with upset stomachs-I have stayed in many hotels in Tunisia and this buffet has to be by far the worst I have experienced- with improvement this could be a very good hotel - entertainment was by the animation team who expected the guests themselves to provide most of the entertainment it was very repetitive and boring
