The Mirage has a reputation for its well-equipped rooms, huge pool and great dining options. Plus, you can’t miss the fire-spurting mock volcano, which sits right outside its front door.
The Mirage is shaped like an open book, fronted by two big rectangular towers with gold-plated windows unravelling along each one. Right outside the property, there’s an imitation volcano that shoots flames into the air as part of the twice-nightly show.
The lobby features an aquarium filled with colourful fish of all shapes and sizes. It also has its own rainforest – with water features and tropical plants – tucked underneath a big glass dome.

Business trip stay
My husband's business conference was hosted at the Mirage, and I joined him for a Thursday-Sunday stay. The hotel is in a central location on the strip to walk to all the nice hotels and interesting sites in either direction. The check-in staff were very pleasant and helpful, as were the polite housekeeping staff. I was so glad for the shops on the first floor when I realized I didn't have a sweater with me, and the weather turned out to be much cooler than I anticipated in the evenings. I signed up for the frequent stays program (MLife Rewards), but we really didn't get any benefit on this stay. We enjoyed drinks in the hotel's jazz bar that had a live band. As expected, the casinos were really too smoky for us as non-smokers to enjoy for more than an hour. We loved the volcano out front! All in all, this was a nice hotel stay.More
Second stay at Mirage and we loved it again.
The Mirage is one of my most favorite resorts in Las Vegas. It has a perfect central location, fun vibe, the Volcano show, Beatles LOVE and awesome restaurants. Stay in a Resort Tower room. The bathrooms are much bigger and nicer then a standard room and it has it's own set of elevators. The rooms have always been clean and comfy beds. The slots have been loose for us each time we stay! Spent 5 nights at the mirage. Had a run of house room, ended up getting a half view of the volcano but mostly a strip view as I was lower down. Appreciated the size of the room and the comfortable bed. Was a very long walk down to the end of the corridor from the lifts, though. Bell services were great helping me to the shuttle from my room. Good stay but I think I prefer being further down the strip towards the miracle like shops. More
Really enjoyed The Mirage for my first visit to Vegas. Quite handy to everything else but not the grandiosity of other Strip resorts. I felt normal here. The Aces of Comedy are in the Terry Gator theatre here so it's great to take in the late show and easily head to our room. The main floor needs to be pulled up and leveled out or replaced. Walking was uneven and show the hotel and casino's age. Good choices for dining. There is no place to dine or drink inside that gets you away from the casino din. Pool is gorgeous.More
