I have UK immigration status (visa, EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) status or an expired biometric residence permit) is there anything I need to do before I travel?
If you have UK immigration status (visa, EUSS status or an expired biometric residence permit):
- Access your eVisa before you travel and verify your details at GOV.UK eVisa
- Keep your UK Visas & immigration (UKVI) account updated: Ensure your personal details and current passport information are correct to avoid delays
- EU Settlement Scheme holders: Check your details are correct and link your valid passport to your UKVI account before travelling to the UK
- New passport or ID? Update your UKVI account immediately at GOV.UK
Important: Starting early 2026, travellers to UK without linked current travel documents may be refused travel or experience delays at UK borders.
