With contemporary interiors, a colonial shell, and a world-famous beach just a stone’s throw away, the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort looks good inside and out.
This bijou-sized hotel looks just like Aruba’s Dutch colonial buildings – expect bright-yellow walls, gable fronts, and white-frame picture windows. The interiors, however, have had a 21st-century makeover.
The hotel is just across the road from Eagle Beach, a powder-white stretch that’s been rated among the world’s best. A five-minute bus ride will take you to the heart of the colourful capital, Oranjestad.

What a delight! Cheerful, helpful staff, spotless, location, location, location
We arrived on Aruba to stay at The Amsterdam Manor on November 4. It was the start of a very delightful weeklong vacation. Upon our arrival at the property, we were met by a young man Billy, who it turned out would be instrumental in making sure we had that delightful weeklong vacation. We were greeted by big smiles at the front desk, and also by cold rum punches on the house. Perfect after a tiring travel day. Billy took us and our baggage to the room S-1, a penthouse with a magnificent view of Eagle Beach and our own private balcony, equipped with two lounge chairs and four regular chairs surrounding a table. The penthouse was spotless. Two full baths, twins beds, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a king-size bed in a master bedroom suite, and the entire area was spotless the entire week. The only time we saw a housekeeper was in the evening distributing Dove chocolates. I honestly don’t know how they dealt with all that sand from Eagle Beach. Eagle Beach. Look it up. Any list you come across of the top ten beaches in the world, and Eagle Beach is on that list. Clean sand, clear water, no seaweed nor rocks. That is one of the reasons we selected Amsterdam Manor in the first place - location, location, location. It is right across the street from Eagle Beach. The Amsterdam Manor maintains a bar on the beach, and too many palapa to count. Amsterdam Manor distributes towels, provide lounge chairs on the beach, as well as personal beach rafts for swimming or laying about. This experience is what we came for, and is what we did every day except one. That day we went to Baby Beach. Out on Eagle Beach, the hotel often distributed ice cold washcloths. Other times, they would distribute small (but free) frozen cocktails. It turns out Billy was a jack of all trades. He was often out on the beach distributing towels and rafts to Amsterdam Manor guests, and looking out for their welfare while patrolling the beach. Twice, when they were out of rafts, he told us he’d bring us the next one returned, and he did. One day, he had to track us down in the water to get us the raft. And he did. He was always good for an enthusiastic wave and a smile whenever we saw him around the resort. We began kidding him “You’re everywhere, you’re everywhere!” Billy really did make us feel a part of the Amsterdam Manor Resort. We welcomed his enthusiasm, drive and all-inclusiveness. He was a delight. The drinks were good at the bars, not shy on the pour. The Manager’s Party on Thursday was delightful. An idea for Amsterdam Manor. How about distributing red flags on sturdy sticks for use by guests on the beach. When the flag is planted upright in the sand, the guest needs a libation. Not much would make a vacation at Amsterdam Manor better, but that might. We must compliment the cleanliness of the entire resort. For instance, the front desk and office is encased in glass panels and doors. Find a smudge or a fingerprint. You cannot. Immaculate. Jennifer at the front desk also went above and beyond to help us with an issue that occurred outside the hotel, with a restaurant. And always with the big smile. In short, when we go back to Aruba again, we will head straight to the Amsterdam Manor. We want ready access to Eagle Beach, and easy access by rent car (or taxi) to the many excellent restaurants nearby, including Suisse Chalet, Barefoot and Madame Janette. Amsterdam Manor is situated perfectly for all these things. A wonderful vacation!More

Day Pass, Recommended for Cruisers
The day pass at Amsterdam Manor is an exceptional value. We paid $69 US, we checked in at the front desk, used the changing room there and then checked in at the Beach bar. We received 2 beach chairs under a large palapa. The chairs and palaces were well spaced out, all with great views of the water. We also received a $40 US food and beverage credit per person. We were at the north end of Eagle beach, with ample activities, swimming, walking, jet skies, etc. The beach was clean and rock free, comfortable to bare feet. The friendly pelicans were hams for photos and fished just of the beach. Took some great pics. We had 2 drinks each, Large coconut shrimp, crochet sandwich and fish tacos for lunch at the beach restaurant. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was great!! Future we did not use all our credit. The taxi was $16 US each way. Definately recommend!!More
Day Pass at Amsteram Manor Beach Resort
We were on the Carnival Vista and bought a day pass here, it was so nice and very private, beach chair, towel, credit for our lunch and we could visit the pool or beach which we did. Had clean restrooms and was gated to keep the public out. We had our lunch outside next to the beach under the trees on a deck, the staff was so nice and the food and drinks were so good. Wish we could have stayed longer, maybe we will someday be able to go for a few night. Was a short taxi ride from the port.More
Our New Favorite Aruban Hotel
We loved our 1-bedroom suite at the Amsterdam Manor. It was spacious and comfortable. Housecleaning was impeccable. One night we had an issue with our key at 12 pm, and there were maintenance staff on the property who took care of it. The AM is a low-rise on Eagle Beach, away from the crowds of Palm Beach. Their beach was wonderful, lots of shady places and not crowded. We loved our stay here.More
