It’s pretty unique, too, as it’s a double temple – after the Ancient Egyptians had moved on, the Romans came in and added an extension, and much of it’s still standing. The original temple was dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile God, and next door, you can take a wander around a museum where mummified crocs are on display.
