Holland’s oldest city is home to monuments, museums, ancient warehouses and busy merchant streets. Its sheltered river harbour is a picturesque spot, lined with lots of coffee shops where you can grab a fluffy pastry and a coffee. If you head further into the city, you can visit the Dordrecht Museum. It’s one of Holland’s most important fine art museums, and houses a collection of Dutch paintings dating back to the 17th century. There are also over 1,000 monuments hidden throughout the streets. You can tick some of them off on a self-led walking route – just follow the trail signs around the city.
