As most previous reviews, this is a lovely contemporary hotel with good food, good size rooms and efficiently cleaned every day. Although bedding only changed on the last day!! Should be automatically changed half way through the week. No trouble getting sunbeds, although selfish people do reserve beds and don't use till later in the day. However, a couple of things that were poor, during booking in, the receptionist went to great pains to advise that the hotel was full, we now know this was pre-empting us requesting a room move, because they had put 3 women travelling together in 2 rooms opposite ends of the corridor, and one room possibly being the worst situated room in the hotel. It was in the corner, ground floor, facing a wall with a road and bar the other side. They clearly had problems with this as there was a huge bright floodlight which automatically turned on when going into balcony at night. A bit of forethought by the hotel and common sense would not have put single travellers in this situation. 3 people on the same booking, surely put them close together, it's not rocket science!!! Thomson rep was an absolute disgrace to Thomsons, was only interested in how quickly he could finish his duty, told us it was up to us to sort out our return flight as monarch went bust during our stay, assuming everyone had smart phone/internet access.More
We arrived into lovely designer reception. Bright, spacious, with interesting colours. The receptionist was very helpful and efficient. We were given a glass of sparkling wine each - very welcome after a long journey. Our room was excellent very clean and lots of wardrobe space. The bed was comfortable. The balcony was big enough but was in the shade. We were visited by a very noisy flock of parrots that were playing in the nearby palm trees. I requested a move which we got the next day. The restaurant was very nice and they reserved a table for our whole stay (I am disabled). This was a very nice touch and was a great help to me. My wife is gluten intolerant and a chief was on hand every evening to guide her through the menu as to what she could have to eat. Really excellent. I did not go to the pool as I cannot use a sunbed so cannot comment on availability of beds. The entertainment was ok. The staff at all levels throughout the hotel were superb. Nothing seemed to much for them. When on holiday you stay in a building - it is the staff that make it a hotel and the staff in this hotel were beyond reproach. Just a couple of things to consider to assist me and other disabled people. A sign for the lift serving the restaurant would be useful. The step onto the promenade should be ramped. My little travel mobility scooter would not make to lip and I almost fell. Otherwise almost perfect. Would we go back- certainly!More
Enjoyable adults only Hotel.
Have just returned from a 10 day holiday at the Nautilus, Hotel is literally on the main promenade, if you enjoy walking as we do it goes on for miles Bendalmedana one way and Torremolinos the other. Our room was on the ground floor of the annexe a higher floor would have been better, the room was nice and clean adequate size with good wardrobe space and plenty of hangers the walk-in shower was lovely. The staff were all very friendly, food was adequate but not the best but we didn’t starve! The bookable Spanish restaurant was good and worth a visit. Tables in the restaurant were close but I do not think a lot different to other hotels we have stayed in. Getting a sunbed was no worse than anywhere else you always get the saddows who put towels down at 7.00 am but the bigger problem is the people who put them down and then disappear for the rest of the day but you could get a bed just not where you would like. Would go back again.More
