Tickets for the festival can be purchased here, and you’ve got two options to choose from. There’s the Standard ticket (£52) which gives you access to ElectroLand and all the attractions opened for the event from 7pm to midnight. Or you can opt for the Privilege ticket (£65) which, aside from the above, gives you access to both Disney parks from 4pm onwards plus a dedicated privilege zone right in front of the stage.
Disney are well known for their year-round festivals and events, and not just of the music variety either. Epcot at Walt Disney World in Florida is the main spot for many of these unique events, and there’s everything from a giant food festival to a huge spring flower carnival. The Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival is a great outdoors-inspired festival to rival the Chelsea Flower Show, and features over 100 Disney characters in impressive topiary form. There’s also the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series in May, where you can enjoy performances from some of the world’s best tribute bands who’ll play classic songs from the Bee Gees, The Eagles and Tina Turner.
At Disney’s Magic Kingdom park, there’s Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party , which is held on select nights in October and November. Highlights of the event include Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, a Happy HalloWishes Fireworks show, and a Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular event. Plus, there's Epcot’s International Food and Wine festival which runs from the end of September to November. This is one of the biggest food festivals in the US, with snacks sourced from six continents, plus 400 culinary demonstrations and over 250 expert chefs. The cuisine from over 20 countries is represented, and you can sample everything from Mango Bubble Tea and Korean raspberry wine to Canadian cheese soup and snail croissants from France.
Head to a festival in Europe and you can swap muddy wellies and rain-soaked tents for blue skies, sunshine and beaches. If you’re into your electronic music, Hideout festival in Croatia is the one for you – it’s still relatively new to the festival scene, and is held on Zrce Beach with some legendary pool and boat parties. Or, for something a bit different, head to where the sun shines 24/7 at Summer Solstice festival in Iceland. Yep you can expect daylight 24 hours a day, thanks to the country’s position close to the Arctic Circle, and enjoy the likes of midnight sun parties and lagoon blowouts. The luxurious Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is the perfect place to unwind after a gourmet feast, with a big grotto pool, health club and spa onsite.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort lands you in the heart of Epcot, with shuttle buses to the other parks.
