If your bride is a party animal, she’ll love Zante. On this sunny Greek island, cocktails and clubbing are always on the cards. You can hop on a boat party and dance until the sun goes down, or join a UV paint party and you’ll soon resemble a masterpiece inside some of the best clubs in Greece. Ibiza isn’t only famed for its sandy beaches and buzzing nightlife. If your bride spends more time shopping on the high street than with her husband-to-be, this Balearic Island is the place to take her. It’s packed with hippy markets, where floaty dresses and beaded necklaces are the outfit of the day, every day. The Wednesday market in Es Cana offers 500 stalls and is perfect for rummaging for something old, new, borrowed and blue. You’ll be entertained by the beat of the musicians strumming their guitars on the main stage, too.

Champers, celebs and VIP beach clubs are on tap in Marbella – ideal for the classy hen. By day, top up your tans and your Prosecco flutes on one of Marbs’ 24 beaches, or don your shades and cure any sore heads with some ice coffees in the old town. Nights here are centred around the sleek marina in Puerto Banos, so dress to impress and head out around 11pm to catch big-name DJs playing a mixture of R’n’B and disco.

Looking for a cheap hen do location? Bulgaria’s a top choice. Not only is it one of the cheapest countries in Europe, but it’s crammed with bar-backed beaches like Sunny Beach on the Black Sea Coast, too – cocktail on the sand, anyone? During the day, you can unleash your inner kid at the nearby waterpark or treat your hen to a relaxing massage in a spa. After dark, the main strip comes alive with music. Keep your eyes peeled for fire dancing shows on the sands. And if you’ve got the energy, you can party ’til sunrise in one of the neon-lit clubs.
