Looking for info on our ad? You've come to the right place. It tells the tale of an enthusiastic mum and her reluctant teenage daughter reuniting on holiday in Turkey, and enjoying those all-important big holiday moments made by TUI. Lots of work went into the creation of the ad – 91 crew members were involved in the overall production. Here, we reveal exactly what went on behind the camera, from the amount of takes, to which song was chosen as the soundtrack...
Where was the advert filmed?
The hotel in the advert is none other than TUI SENSATORI Barut Fethiye. In the ad you’ll spot its stylish beachside cabanas, huge pools and coveted position on the beach. What you won’t spot is its standout All Inclusive offering, which covers everything from a cake-filled coffee shop to yoga sessions.
And, right next door to this hotel, you'll find The Residence, a chic adults-only hideaway that has brought a whole new level of luxury to the TUI SENSATORI collection.

What’s the song in the advert?
Someday by The Strokes was chosen for the soundtrack – we thought its upbeat high-tempo pace was the perfect fit for our happy ad.
Who is the woman in the advert?
The woman playing the role of mum is Cecile Henning. She lives in the UK but is originally from South Africa.
Who is the girl in the advert?
The girl in the advert playing the role of daughter is Aoife Checkland. She’s from the UK and, although she’s young, this wasn’t her first shoot – she’s been involved with the Young Actors Theatre Islington since she was 10.
Where did the inspiration for the advert come from?
Creative Director Phil has a friend who is a single mum and was about to go on a TUI holiday with her kids to reconnect in the sun. This inspired Phil to take a modern-day angle on family holidays and it fed nicely into how big feelings are made by TUI.
Who directed the advert?
Simon Cahn was the director of the ad. He’s previously created music videos for the likes of Denai Moore and We Are Shining, as well as lots of short films and shoots for brands including Nike, Dior and Louis Vuitton.
Behind-the-scenes fun facts
Someday by the Strokes was played no less than 150 times during filming, so it’s fair to say the production team know all of the words.
Lots of different shots were needed to create the ad. This involved filming underwater, with drones and using multiple camera types.
91 cast and crew members were on set in total.
23,400 seconds of footage was cut down to just 60 seconds for the final ad.
