What's great about Almeria cruises?
A wide, tree-lined avenue splits Almeria in half. To the west, you’ll find the Medieval buildings of the old town, while on the east side, the new town is home to boutiques and art galleries. There’s plenty in daytripping distance, too, from sleepy Pechina and the Tabernas Desert, to Rioja’s rustic tavernas.
- Visit the Alcazaba, Almeria’s version of the Alhambra. Built back in the 10th century, the complex includes watchtowers and a castle, and has sweeping views over the city.
- Take a stroll along Paseo de Almeria – a bustling street in the middle of the city. It stretches from the coast, inland to the main tourist attractions, and there are plenty of markets and hidden squares to uncover on the small roads which branch off it. It’s full to the brim with shops, cafés and restaurants, too.
- Unleash your inner cowboy at Minihollywood Oasys Theme Park, in the heart of the Tabernas Desert. It was originally built as a set for Hollywood blockbusters, including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and nowadays it’s a Western-themed amusement park with pools, a saloon and much more.
