Grenada cruises

Grenada blends scenic waterfalls with sprawling beaches and fragrant spices.

Where we sail in Grenada

Our Cruises to Grenada drop anchor in St George’s – the island’s capital city. The streets here are strewn with 18th-century Colonial houses and open-air markets stocked with tropical fruit. The coast, meanwhile, serves up lots of top-class beaches that could go head to head with the rest of the Caribbean. Around the rest of the island, you’ll find a mix of thick rainforests, spice plantations and postcard-worthy waterfalls. Weather-wise, it’s rare for the temperature to drop below 25oC here, even during the rainy season that lasts from June to December.

The Isle of Spice

Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and bay leaf are all grown throughout Grenada’s hilly countryside. So it’s no surprise that the country’s earned the nickname ‘The Isle of Spice’. As well as producing over a quarter of all of Grenada’s exports, the farms and plantations spread around the island are also popular stops for tourists. Take Dougaldston Spice Estate, for example. This 19th-century farm hasn’t changed much over the past 200 years, and you’ll be able to see how nutmeg’s processed the old-fashioned way. Plus, you’ll be able to fill up on fresh spices before you leave.
