MARELLA CRUISES

COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering the competition. By entering you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions and you agree to be bound by them.

1. Promoter’s Details: Marella Cruises Limited (the “Promoter”) are members of TUI Group. Registered Office: Wigmore House, Wigmore Lane, Luton, LU2 9TN. Registered in England, for TUI UK Limited No: 2830117 and for Marella Cruises Limited No: 12562788. TUI UK Limited ABTA No: V5126 and ATOL No: 2524. Marella Cruise Limited ABTA No: Y6722 and ATOL No: 11878.

2. Eligibility: This competition is open to anyone who is eighteen (18) years of age or older and has booked a Marella Cruise onboard:

  • Marella Discovery 2 between Tuesday 3rd October 2023 to/including Tuesday 7th November 2023
  • Marella Explorer between Friday 6th October 2023 to/including Friday 16th February 2024
  • Marella Explorer 2 between Thursday 5th October 2023 to/including Thursday 19th October 2023
  • Marella Voyager between Saturday 7th October 2023 to/including Saturday 21st October 2023.

Employees and immediate family (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners) of the Promoter or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible to enter this competition.

3. How to Enter: Internet access is required to enter. To enter the competition, you will need to comment why you would like to celebrate onboard with us on the Facebook or Instagram competition posts shared on the official Marella Cruises pages from 10:00am BST on Thursday 7th September 2023. ‘Liking’ of the Marella Cruises Facebook page or Instagram page does not count as an entry into the competition. No purchase necessary. No entries from agents or third parties or automatically generated by computer will be accepted. Duplicated, incomplete or corrupted entries will not be accepted.  Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

4. Use of Data: All details provided by you will be held by the Promoter and used in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Notice available at https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/info/privacy-notice

By entering this competition, you are aware that if chosen as the winner of the Prize, you are giving explicit permission (on behalf of you and your future spouse) to be filmed and featured on the Marella Cruises official Facebook and Instagram pages. You acknowledge that you are granting a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual license to the Promotor to feature photos/videos taken during the Prize in any publications, websites and/or any promotional material, PR or advertising connected with this competition and/or any future marketing campaigns.

You give permission for any photos/videos to be edited, copied or adapted, if needed, as part of the overall creative treatment. You agree to allow the Promotor to use any photos/videos taken as part of the Prize to be used on the Promotors social media channels.

No payment or individual acknowledgment will be made to you for use of photos/videos of you on our channels.

5. Dates: The competition commences on Thursday 7th September 2023 at 10:00am BST. The closing date for entries is Thursday 14th September 2023 at 10:00am BST. The winner will be chosen by an independent adjudicator and announced by 5:00pm BST on the Friday 15th September 2023 in the comments under the Facebook and Instagram posts.

6. Receipt of Entries: Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries or entries sent through agencies and third parties will not be accepted. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for network, computer or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry. The Promoter is not responsible for entries not received and/or any lost entries.

7. Prize: There is one (1) Platinum Celebration of Vows Package worth £475 (four hundred and seventy-five pounds) (“Prize”). This will need to be redeemed or reimbursed if already booked against a prebooked cruise onboard:

  • Marella Discovery 2 between Tuesday 3rd October 2023 to/including Tuesday 7th November 2023
  • Marella Explorer between Friday 6th October 2023 to/including Friday 16th February 2024
  • Marella Explorer 2 between Thursday 5th October 2023 to/including Thursday 19th October 2023
  • Marella Voyager between Saturday 7th October 2023 to/including Saturday 21st October 2023.

The winner will also have their celebration of vows filmed and shared on the Marella Cruises official Facebook and Instagram pages. If the winner has already booked a celebration package during the specified dates, they will be reimbursed and upgraded to the platinum package. The prize is not transferable and no alternatives will be offered.

8. Selection & Notification: The winner(s) will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The winner will be informed – via a direct Facebook on Instagram message – by no later than 5:00pm BST on the Friday 15th September 2023. Should the Promoter be unable to contact the winner or should the winner be unable to accept the prize for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.

10. Winner’s details: Details of the winner’s name and country of residence will be obtainable after the 5th September 2023 by emailing cruisemarketing@tui.co.uk . The winner must inform the Promotor if they wish to decline publication of this information. The winner may be required to participate in post-competition publicity. 

 11. General: The Promoter reserves the right to amend the competition in exceptional circumstances. All entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and the Promoter reserves the right to exclude entrants for any breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta. Meta accepts no liability for this competition.
