Villas Yucas

Villas Yucas is very peaceful and a relaxing complex. It has a nice chilled atmosphere. The pool and surrounding grounds are well maintained and clean, with plenty of sun lounges around the pool. The Villa we had (number 8), was clean and tidy ready for our holiday, supplied with fresh bedding and towels. We did requested a few extra blankets as the weather wasn’t great and the owner had extra clean blankets when requested. The villas had all the basic necessities required for our holiday. Each Villa has its own outdoor seating area, with its own table and chairs. The location of Villas Lucas is excellent. Opposite the site is a supermarket and further along the road is all the bars/restaurants/shops. The main bus route is also on the same road, which is great if you want to access Ciutadella de Menorca. We would like to thank Juan for making our stay perfect. He was quick with responding to messages and he stayed in contact throughout our stay, to ensure we had everything and we’re happy. He was able to suggest great restaurants and supported us with getting a taxi. We requested a at last minute a late checkout, possible for a small fee. Juan couldn’t have been anymore helpful. We will definitely be returning to Villas Yucas. Many thanks again. - A few suggestions to put forward if there was things to improve the Villas, are the installation of a heating/ventilation/air-conditioning system and newer plug sockets.

First of all when we arrived there is no signage for the ‘villas’ and did not have a clue where to go to check in. After wandering around for an hour trying to find a reception or member of staff, we couldn’t. We kept ringing the number on our booking information but no answer. Finally a man called Bruno answered the phone and told us we could not check in until 3.30pm, were he told us which villa we would be staying in and the key was already inside. We had still not met a member of staff or received any information about the villas/ local area. When arriving at the villa it was very outdated although fairly clean. The landing and kitchen lights did not work and the majority of the glass/table wear was not clean at all and had dust on them. Most of the light switches in the bedrooms had cracked and the shower head did not stay in the holder. We did have a lovely view out of the balcony of 15+ old dirty mattresses though. After 3 days we were getting a little confused about getting clean sheets and towels as no one had come to change them. We attempted to ring Bruno but no answer. We texted him and he said it would be arranged, as well as a further towel and bedding change 3 days later. 2 days had gone by since the original request and FINALLY some clean bedding and towels, but this was the only fresh bedding and towels we received our whole 11 night stay. In the villa next door was a group of young lads staying who very much enjoyed staying up until 5 am singing loudly outside, keeping everyone awake all night. It was unavoidable listening to their continuous attempts of rapping as there are no fans or air con in the bedrooms so you have to keep your window open. We didn’t even bother to complain to Bruno via text and instead told them to be quiet ourselves. At one point coming up to the end of our stay, we noticed the downstairs toilet had started bubbling and toilet water was all over the floor, we texted Bruno and a day later the plumber arrived alone at the villa and only spoke Spanish. Trying to explain what happened was a nightmare, he said the water was from the beach (it was not) so did nothing about the issue. Luckily my partner managed to switch off the water supply to the toilet. At the end of our stay we got a text telling us what time check out was, we never met Bruno or saw any staff at villas Yucas, everything was done through text.
